I guess what I'm asking is up until the point your kid was a viable option was the purpose of the employees to get you off the truck or just so you didn't have to work as hard while you were on it?

Where are they now?

Of the five employees I've had/have, 3 of them could be trusted to run the show while I was in Hawaii for two weeks..
Does that answer your question?

and yes, they main focus this year is to get me off the truck for every thing but tricky tile, upholstery and estimates.

and guest star appearances at my rock stars' homes.

I had three employees before my son was hired. He was a helper for a couple years before was ready to be the lead tech he is now

We are now grooming Ely to lead a truck.

Does that answer your question Fred?
We constantly groom the assistants to be crew leaders. They're not all capable of moving up, but we do give them all the opportunity to try.

Some lack the people skills, despite being great cleaning technicians. Its unfortunate but not technicians can be crew leaders. However they can still be a commercial cleaning crew leader since there is less interaction there and personality is no where near as important.
