Seems like a waste of pads. Maybe a carpet brush or a CRB instead.

When you can knock on carpet like wood, a CRB does NOTHING....
I know this, cause I clean 2 different pubs...
One is a blue collar, logging, hillbilly bar.... I used my 175 with a red pad to cut through the gunk, and blasted it @ 750PSI, and Max heat for rinse...
When I presprayed, I may as well have been spraying a wood floor...
It was bouncing up, and sitting on top....

I could see my OP with a Gorilla pad being very effective.... only difference? I’d be tank feeding a nuclear prespray...

You can run whatever pH 14 prespray you want to run through there but it won't "release" the soil as quickly as a neutral pH encap will for whatever ungodly reason...

Interesting. I’ll have to try that...

hmmm
and you'd speculate the reason is the poly in the soap?
as that wouldn't seem the only difference right?

I didn't watch the vid.
I think I got it though, aggressive pad scrub followed by flush/rinse extract
....how revolOOshunary

oh, and CRB's ain't squat for scrubbing soil off carpet.
One step above a grande grOOmer is all.

This statement is false. I use a CRB on a fairly regular basis, and not only does it help to remove ground in soil, it lifts the fibres up, and scrubs the prespray in. The end result is FAR superior to using a grandi groomer, and wand...

This machine, like all others, has its place in our industry...

Have you owned a CRB Larry?

Mark now knows as I do and the rest of you enlightened or soon to be enlightened that if he had had about 50 pads of blue and another 50 of the white she could have made that carpet look better dry quicker and stayed cleaner longer without a truck mount..

But would probably still be there...lol

always been the case.
in the olden dayz when it was cotton, a pad did a great job ....for 1 sq yrd
This machine, like all others, has its place in our industry.

agree .
it's great for fur in doggie houses

But my philosophy has always been, if I have to bring in additional equipment, I'm going to by-pass anything less and bring it what will make it look best be it 20 pounds or a 100

if you don't believe it's a rotary, Cimex or Opie.
Try this simple, easy test next time both tools are in a building;
Spray your pre-spray de jour
Run your CRB across a soiled traffic lane.
Run any ole bonnet or pad with any ole rotoscrub or ox-galating MoSheen right next to it.

Lemmie know if you can tell the difference

semantics
it's still a rotoscrub, just easier and more idiot proof than a rotary or rotary with the shakes*

*other than demos, I've never run a wheels down Opie ...so I really don't know if it's as idiot proof and easy as a 'mex
