Funny, a friend of mine was a "district Manager" so to speak of a dozen or so churches. He mentioned one time that so many problems are because the preachers wife gets sideways with the church management or the preacher. Many times he had to say to the preacher---Who are we paying to be here?

One night we got to a 5 floor department store.
Started the first floor and hit it with dual Rx's.
Finished the first sections and started to hit it with groomers.
Management showed up and said why are you removing the swirls (We like that look, freshly cleaned.)

Can you say "Yahtzee"

Had the same thing happen to us. We were cleaning a very upscale prototype Victoria Secret store. This store even had Waterford crystal chandeliers in it. The carpet in the store was an off-white, very plush, cut pile carpet. They were going to have a visit from the Vice President of the entire company visit their store. We were called to clean the store the night before the visit. I suggested that we clean it a couple of days prior to the visit - so the Cimex swirls could get worked out of the carpet before the VIP visit. They said "NO - we love the swirls! That's why we want it cleaned the night before." So we went ahead and cleaned it the night before their visit. I checked back later, and they said the visit went great. Go figure.
