new spark plugs were installed 2 weeks ago.
What happens is the coil stops firing on 2 plugs
then fuel injectors get to much fuel, then the machine
starts to rev down and trys to shut down, because it cant burn the excess fuel.
Just put another coil on it and its fine again. But just not sure why this happens.
Thank You for responding

is the coil over heating.....to much heat will burn out the coil...
wrong spark plug or bad gap.....
a electrical surge will burn it up.....
the little brain in a box, to control the spark might be having problems.......

this is one that you are probably going to have to hook up the computer system and see if you can get a read out........

Good find Fred!

this is what the board is for.

if I were in that situation, I would do what Jim suggested, I would find a tech that can read the codes off the computer.

Jim is probably right about the heat being the coil killer....likely from the head rather than ambient

Can you put some type of insulating material between the coil and the head?

Heat is the biggest nemesis with theses machines....almost everyone I have talked with or have had problems with this machine has been related one way or another to heat......get with Bill and see about his kit he has to help circulate the air and cool the machine down a bit....

also work on getting the heat out of the van...roof vent works good...

Does it need to be mounted to the engine?? Why not put a spacer between it and the head, half and inch would make a big difference if its sinking heat from the head.

Might check your wires too. friend has a Cleanco, was getting so hot under the hood that the wires were getting brittle and coils were going.

no...doesn't have to be mounted to the engine....plug wire and harness length would limit how far you could move it but I doubt it would prevent a half in spacer
