They are a good buy that is why the don't stay for long -on the market. My Orbot was rebuilt a couple times but gets used a lot! For the past -almost 4 years- the jobs that the Orbot worked on, billed at least 70grand (but I'm pretty sure its more than that. Not bad for such a small machine.

I definitely recommend trying to find one.

Richard,

Dirk has helped me out on some projects....and Dirk knows the spraybot. I bought mine right here at a Mikey's board auction. Don't use it a whole lot, but when I do....love it. Pay whatever, you will be happy.

Call Hruby and buy it from them directly. They sell at list, and are the only vender I found that does on the Orbot.

I was in Bishop California yesterday ( near Death Vally) and ran into Mr Hruby at a Starbucks..

The are overtaking Europe and Asia with their machines and doing very well.

They will be focusing on selling them here in the states soon.

He showed me a video of a new 13 inch head unit(or maybe it was 10?) that the Japanese resident market was crying for...

I thought That small unit is for Europe for some trains. I think Thats what Jeff said.

I wouldn't compare Cimex with Orbot. Two different kind of animals, hunting in different areas.

You guys should see HOS shop...its like Orbot porn as you look around. :eekk: Impressive the way that company is looking and building machines like crazy! Every time I stop by, they have a truck load ready for Asia or Europe.

He told me small apartments was the key reason for its design..

either makes sense.

I told him if they make the wheels "pop off" then it would be a great "wheels off the ground" type little machine, that could go inbetween the pews at churches.

I keep hearing of a new encap machine that is coming out soon that will blow all existing machines out of the water. Seems hard to fantom. A cimex, Whittiker and Orbot pretty much covers every possible angle. This machine better bring something new to the table or it will just be another way overpriced newbie that doesn't cause as much as a ripple in the market. Pretty hardto beat existing options.

The thing that really shocks me is these newbie units that are in the $4'000- 5'000. I always viewed the cimex as priced at the top of the market for low moisture but that top is being pushed. I'm not sure I see the value in these new units.

My bots have been pretty good to me over the years. They just recently got all new components and some of my very custom upgrade pieces :)

The weight kit is a MUST with them if you want top notch results. Full kit for commercial carpet and about 2-3 plates per side for residential.

Having a friend allowing you to try out a piece of equipment is always your best bet, that allows you to make an educated purchase. You're always happier knowing what you're getting. You might also take a look at John G's new machine, everyone says it's built like a tank and can really clean. It's more money but might be worth checking out.
