my point is, the Swiss don't really have much freedom when it comes to guns. you may think you can do alot of damage with 50 rounds, when it comes to war, the average amount of bullets for 1 kill is around 25-30,000 rounds.

Your comparing militia and guerrilla type warfare to organized military's. There are no helicopters laying down millions of rounds of cover fire as they drop people off into their houses.

Read some history, the Chinese militia took some machetes and stolen rifles and wreaked havoc on the Japanese military in WWII, and these where crazy farmers not well armed Swiss.

Russia sent soldiers into combat with only ten rounds and an empty handed man following the man with the rifle in case he died.

I'll take a 552 and 50 rounds of deadly accurate 5.56x45mm over either of those situations.

Lee is right, as usual, there is a reason no one has invaded Switzerland.

I open carry a Glock 27

what a surprise..

surprises me
If you're going to open carry, why carry a sub compact?
the G-23 is only an ounce heavier (empty weight)
4 rounds more capacity .
and a better (longer) grip, so your pinky finger is anchored

lol...

Hitler enslaved the military's of every country he invaded and used their resources and engineers to empower his army. The Swiss military and armory would have been a nice addition.

Not to mention it was in a very strategic part of Europe if you ever planned on controlling that Continent.

yeah, i should read some history. Ive prolly read 5000 pages in history books this year alone. I take pride in knowing my history. BTW, get a real mans gun. A 5.56 is a sissy gun in my book. Get yourself an M1A if you want something that'll knock a person down with the first shot.

I carry a Kel-tec 380 every day everywhere. I carry in my back pocket, and have a notepad between the gun and the outside so you dont have any print of the gun. I have done this for more years than I can remember. If I'm going to a bad neighborhood, I will put my 45 on my belt and let em see it.

Had a cc friend that got shot by mistake, ruined his life.

It has nothing to do with you being violent. If you don't know enough about legal gun owners as probably being the least violent you better research.

You are going into peoples homes, their castle, their American Dream with an assault weapon. You take the power away from anyone when you are armed and personally I find it offensive if someone showed up in my home armed and I would escort them out. You should know a gun is intimidation when there is an exchange of services and money, whether you hide it or not. If you are armed and have no problem with why conceal it?

I plan on pulling an ad in Vincents local newspaper and Ryans letting them know they may have an armed carpet cleaner in town and specifically name their companies because they arte proud to carry and have no problem with it.
YOU REALLY NEED TO CHANGE THE BRAND OF GLUE YOU ARE SNIFFING.
My conceal carry of choice is a Kahr PM40 w/laser.

What do you carry? Thinking of picking up another Ruger LCP in the coming weeks....

Can't exactly conceal my Springfield XD 45 and feel comfortable in a custy's home, if someone saw i'm sure they'd flip

The best way to carry is in the front pocket.

S&W 340PD AIRLITE SCANDIUM

Weight Empty: 12 oz.

The most light weight and strongest .357 Magnum revolver ever made.

so I am wrong? So legal gun owners are more violent? I don't get it, mountains of research show this as fact. Maybe you should check the glue you are sniffing

imNSHo, you'd be better off with a Colt New Agent or Defender .
about the same price, and less MIM (metal injection molding) parts

nothing wrong with a Kimber, they make a fine 1911.....just some internal things that make a Colt a better pistol overall

There are usually a couple of rifles in my Jeep. Locked in hard cases with the ammo locked in a separate hard case.

I think people really freak out about guns when really they are just ignorant to firearms and firearms safety. To people saying what if it goes off or what if you pull out a gun in the grocery store and start shooting. That is so ignorant. Nearly every house l go in the kitchen has an arsenal of knives in the little wooden knive holders. What if l go in a house and start throwing knives??? What if l pick up a 10 pound cast iron pan and start swinging at heads??? What if l pick up one of those 25lb decorative rocks in your front yard and throw it at your melon? Point being there are many many items in and around a house that can kill. A gun has to be pulled out and the trigger pulled for it to go off. All comes to down to a persons intent. If someone wants to kill they dont need a gun! Having said that l really dont think there is any need to carry a gun in a custys house - or at least the custys we clean for. However l do carry all times at night and any place where a problem is more likely...

Why Les do you think that legal gun owners are more violent? I don't and research shows they are more patriotic, more civic minded, intelliegent and not criminals.

This thread has nothing to do with an opinion on violence or anything of that sort it is about respect for your business and peoples homes. I would welcome carpet cleaners in my area to carry weapons, it would help my business.

Everyone wants to make this into a gun rights thread and it is the furthest from the truth unfortunately most of the packing carpet cleaners on this thread aren't in the grouping of more intelligent

Everyone is probably more at risk from the lethal weapon that kills more of us every day. When you drive 55 miles an hour down a two lane road with oncoming traffic you are continuously 18" from instant death.

That gives me a "great idea" for a really low budget movie, THE CLEANER.

A guy gets really pissed at the industry talking heads that have come up with this plan to financial rape the hard working cleaners of America. He amasses a huge arsenal (including the industry standard Ruger LCP) over a few months leading up to a national trade show held in Opryland USA, call Conniptions. He drives a Ryder truck filed with 20% volume peroxide across the country and arrives in Washington State in the early Am. He meets up with a co-conspirator that has constructed an electronically activated triggering device that they attach to centrifuge whittled out of Teflon. They amuse themselves on the drive to Vancouver by placing a MORE CFM sticker on centrifuge. They discuss how long the ride to Opryland will take once they park the Ryder and get into a custom van that has been loaded with the arsenal.

I routinely have to clean around guns, and I never go a week of cleaning where I don't see an obvious home defense gun loaded and ready to go in the master bedroom. Usually a holster hooked onto the bed or just setting on the nightstand. Saw two today. Went to a flood yesterday and had to move a chest of guns that took 4 men to lift. Guns only scare bad guys in Montana.
