Tread on the back tire of one of the vans flew off on the freeway....hmm
Anyways......so I bought 4 new tires just to be safe.
It did some damage to the van. Doesn't look to bad....but deciding if I should send it to the body shop.

What do you guys think?

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. It knocked the tailpipe up into the fender and jammed it up there. The muffler shop had to cut out the old tailpipe and weld in a new one. They pulled the dent out of the fender the best they could while they had it in the air. You can still see it but barely. I plan to get my van wrapped later this year so I am going to wait and see if the company doing the wrap thinks I need to get repaired better.

Interestingly enough, I didn't even lose air pressure when it happened to me. I was able to cut the chunk of tire off and then drive to the tire shop to get them changed, the whole thing only cost me about an hour and I was running ahead anyway.

Yup.....drove ours to tire shop to.. makes me feel better I accused the tech of hitting something and I didn't think the tread could cause that damage

I had the same thing a year ago on my box truck. It took out the mud flap and fill hose to the gas tank.

Your van looks fine. It's a service truck and a few dings are no big deal. I might take it to a exhaust shop for a quick weld

Lets see a pic at a distance..

Looks like it would hardly get noticed..

How many miles on the van, not worth a insurance claim..

So just live with it..

Unless you get a good deal on repair, but still that means down time.
