Good grief, reasons it did not RISE???? It can not lower ATP but it keeps it from RISING .
ATP testing reads live and dead bacteria... Colloidal silver is why it doesn't RISE after drying but
it does not change the READING at time of clean.

Again if when cleaning with HWE it were rinsed with an antimicrobial (similar to what the silver is doing) would it also keep the count from rising?

And no independent study that you know of? I mean, heck Mardie can whip out studies of how air cell can out clean anything but it's mostly schredder propaganda.

It's not that I don't believe OP isn't a viable method, I do think it can be a great option, however without an independent study numbers can be manipulated to tout any method as the best.

Look no further than the CRI's SOA program where a Portable gets 11-12 passes and a TM gets what 2? If equal number of passes were used do you think the Rug Doctor would still be platinum? :eekk:

he's right Mardie. you're barking up the wrong tree with Richard & VLM. Richard is pretty neutral and doesn't have an agenda that i can tell. i think most anyone here or on the other forums he participates on will agree with that statement.

Doc, it has an effrect on KILLING, but it has no effect in testing.
It will kill the bacteria and not allow the growth that often happens AS HWE is drying.

As far as manipulating the testing, I don't do most of it, others do, we all do it the same and according to NASA Protocols,.
quit being a cheap fart and find out for yourself or ease off on the hot sauce.

Already have an ATP meter, just haven't gotten around to doing any carpet testing. We use for Biorecovery, Sewage and even Mold.

I've not seen the point for carpet.

Not much for hot sauce, mild is about as far as I go.

Cheap? Have been my whole, I'm afraid I'm too old to change now.

I was gonna say that Doc, and that fact that You question isn't a defense of HWE, Its asking a real question of ethics of claims made!

Doc has Cimex's and certainly couldn't do the water removal he does with a pad.

And if someone makes a change to a trinity and believes they can make a go of it and make money who cares.

I have several competitors using crb's and bonnet's, green cleaning they have less over head and use less gas.

I would say encap juice and the customer's vacuum will remove more soil then the actual pad on any dry cleaning method.

Lots of good interesting points have been raised up to great heights so I'll add just one more.
How many customer's or facility managers have the slightest idea what brand of carpet was installed in their building ?
Based upon the Inspections that I have done for commercial installation very few have a clue, but -
I know that most could find out if ever there was a problem and that is the danger for those Sumatra filled optimists.

Randy is really paranoid because of those miniature drones that fly around inside the Pentagon while he works there.

ps, finally had the pleasure of meeting Randy last week and turns out he's much nicer than he comes across on the boards. . . . . . . . . .
