Any sized imo.
I'll be honest and say I never use the term "pad cap"... not even sure what the hell it means maybe you can explain it to me

Well I guess I just prefer to remove some soil
You will remove more soil with a microfiber pad for sure. As long as you change the pad regularly. But encapping with a scrub pad gives you the exact appearance. If it works for a Cimex, which is considered the king of encapping, it works for all of the orbital machines as well.

So would you ever build a small van such as nv200 and an encap crew to go do apartments and commercial work

No truckmount
Tons of chit carpet
And probably piss lots of piss

I don’t think I would either but I would like to setup a van for apartments and things I can’t do with the big vans and let them go to work

But in the end I think customers would complain about the process
Techs would complain about the weight of the machines and I would bitch about how much they complain

I would consider setting up a van like a transit connect with a combination of high performance portable and an orbital. Portable for apartments and orbital for cgd. Get you in the underground parkades.

For a large metropolitan city, you would never run out of work. Tons of condos with lots of Upholstery even if carpets are on the decline. Trinity or equivalent for building common areas. Fast and efficient on cgd and very profitable. Lower entry cost.

I just bid on a pair of building’s...
Combined, it’s a 8K a year contract....
The last guys used a portable, and the halls and common spaces are in DIRE need of a proper flushing....
450-500’ hose run.... once i get it back to normal, I’ll run VLM...

Encapping is using a fiber pad and trusting your encap juice to capture (Encapsulate) all the soils
Padcapping is using an absorbing pad to capture 90%-95%-99% of the emulsified soils into the pad.
I dont Encap...i Padcap. 🤷‍♂️
