I bet that pet pad wont stop urine around the edges near tack strip, where males are likely to urinate.
if its stapled to the subfloor and seams aren't taped, it wont help much in the rest of the pad as well.

The Pet pad a lot of times just seems to allow the urine and any spills spread out more.... through out the carpet backing and such.

Seams are duct taped... Not always perfect.

Water damage... What a pain... (glad I'm not doing that anymore)

Urine will create damage and permanent damage.

Trying to help clients with their situation and trying to make it better is about all we can do at the moment.

We still tell people there is more damage but we will do our best to help out.

Having products that help us accomplish satisfactory results for the clients and help us cleaners to obtain more satisfied clients is also a plus.

Precondition your clients of what they might experience.

There have been many times we have recommended "save your money and replace" and yet been begged to do something now for the moment.

We do our best and have improved I have to say to make things better to satisfy what the customers are attempting to have at the moment.

Underpromise.... Do your best to overacheive...

In the past when doing water loss with pet pad, if a small area I have used an awl and poked a bunch of hose through the surface and int the pad. Then used a spotter claw. Only a few times and in small areas , clean water such as AC leak. and if no real way to get the carpet up.
Of course PMs and rentals.
I can't believe cheap rentals would spring for expensive pad. But then someone sold them on it I am sure.

post treat with liquid alive.

but also remember that you dont know if this was a past problem which already has had a band aid of urine treatment on it.

maybe her dogs were pissing because at some point the sub floor already had gallons of urine from a long time ago, which you got wet and reactivated.
