I've got the big one (XP-10), wouldn't be without it. Besides jumping a dead battery, it has USB jacks for charging phones and such, a 19V jack that will run my laptop for several hours, and a 12V jack for accessories, not to mention a built-in flashlight. You can charge it from a 120V outlet or 12V vehicle power jack. Highly recommended.

I carry long jumper cables. No way that thing starts my diesel so why bother. I change the box truck batteries every 6 years or so.

you'd be surprised. I sure was. Last winter my friend started his diesel pickup with one of those. They are unbelievable.

Mikey turned me on to them a couple of years back.

Now we carry noco genius boost packs as they have more robust jumper leads that don't fail.

I generally replace a battery based on time. I've only been caught once so far. My pickup didn't even give a warning and died. Not even a click when I turned the key. I'll check into it if you swear it will turn over a diesel. I love new gadgets.
