Does anyone add chemicals to eliminate calcium deposits on jets? My city water supply is not that great here - looking for suggestions to keep equip in top shape. Thanks for your help.

Im thinking about going softwater in than connect to RO unit out.
I think it will save on pre-cartridges( sediment, carbon) then going straight to RO.

get a softener, I have an older unit (1998) used as a backup now just lose the exhaust side heat exchanger from vibration, and I cut it open in sections to look for deposits - clean as a whistle, never been descaled.

Plus, you can use half your cleaning chem dilution and get the same results

Hi,
Adding chemicals just to get pure water is not the solution if the water supply of your city is not up to the mark. Instead of using chemicals use RO purifier to get fresh water.
