I'm so glad we were finally able to "get on board" here - thank you for the welcome and for your helpfulness, Mikey P!

Many years ago, my husband and I began our journey with carpet cleaning. We began with a vlm method and franchise (which we will NOT name) and enjoyed some success with that venture in Southern California. Eventually, we moved to Oklahoma for a better environment for our kids and have been here ever since (12 grandchildren and counting!). My husband began experimenting with chemicals and hit on a combination that was incredibly simple yet remarkably effective. In fact, it cleaned better than anything else we had tried. After studying a number of patents, he realized that he had something special and submitted an application to the patent office. We're fairly pro-active types (aren't all self-employed people???) and it never really occurred to us that it might be a good idea to get a lawyer to do this for us; the USPTO gently reminded us that we might want to do that. :lol: We did and in very short order we were the proud owners of a patent in the U.S. and Canada. And then the fun began!

Yeah, we immediately found ourselves in litigation that ate up the next SIX years of our lives! It was brutal; we found ourselves fighting for our survival in three federal districts, in front of seven different judges, and at times, we represented ourselves in a federal court in a different state! I absolutely do NOT recommend this to anyone! :eekk: The short version is that we emerged with our patents intact (we also got a patent on our equipment), and although we were never compensated financially for our fight, we were suddenly free to do business.

We initially decided to franchise and no sooner had we done this than we began to see laws change to the detriment of both franchisee and franchisor. Having just been through the litigation rodeo, we were pretty sure we never wanted to ride that bull again! So we have restructured and are once again making our cleaner available to those who are looking for innovative products to add to their operations.

Our product is self-carbonating. Essentially, the chemicals combine to create a cleaner and the resulting CO2 becomes the mechanical aid that expedites soil removal; kind of a one-two punch. The fact that it needs no additives of any kind allows us to use it in ANY system that actually removes soil from the carpet. We think that makes us pretty unique!

A few other pluses about this cleaner:
It has no soaps, detergents, surfactants, or oil-based additives so it doesn't need to be rinsed from the carpet;
It's safe and non-toxic to people and pets;
It dries quickly and leaves no sticky residue;
It is surprisingly effective on pet stains and odor and when used as a pre-spray spotter will eliminate the need for most other spotters;
Water-based protectant can be added directly to the cleaner, increasing convenience and profit margins;
It works well with any cleaning system, but when coupled with the right vlm portable system (ours!) and the right bonnets it becomes truly impressive;
It eliminates the need for those waste-water dumping problems!

We would be happy to supply samples, just email your name and address to us and we'll send it right out!

And again, THANK YOU for taking the time to take a look! We truly appreciate your interest.

why no vlm equipment on the website????
We had equipment listed for our franchisees when we were franchising; but honestly, product prices were changing so often that we found it easier to just talk to people on the phone or via email when they were looking. We plan to put equipment back on the website soon but will likely omit pricing so that we can better tailor equipment to the specific needs of the individual company. Most carpet cleaners have a preferred method of cleaning and are only looking to supplement with vlm, which would be a very different approach vs using vlm as the preferred method. We're trying to restructure so we can accommodate either preference.

Are there any components in this product that will aid in breaking down oils?
Our product does not contain any solvents, if that's what you mean? By itself, the cleaner does a great job with the kinds of oils you find in pet stains, head grease (like on the back of a recliner), and those types of "oils", but you'll need something quite different if you're trying to remove grease from an oil rig. :winky:
