We are kicking around the idea of adding a $5.00 fuel surcharge to each order as a separate line item. We pay our crews commission, so an increase in prices will partially go into their pocket.

We raised our prices last summer and to raise them again so quickly may not sit well with our customers. The $5.00 fuel surcharge is very understandable since the cost of gas is the lead story in all the newscasts!
Wouldn’t it be easier have a come to Jesus with techs about the $5 than showing the customer that $5? It would for me.

I am running that E85 only now I am trying not to raise our prices as we haven't really gained traction out of the slower JAN & FEB months

E85 should be good but I think it burns faster its 3$ a gallon right now

I could be wrong but I think the extra fuel burned offsets the cost most of the time. I'd be real leery running that in a slide in

The purchases were made with the cost of the fuel worked in to their monthly budget. Now that budget gets more than doubled, and that vehicle may no longer be affordable.
In the "gas crisis" years of the 70s I ran across a guy wanting to trade a track-built 70 Cuda. I gave him $500 and my beater 65 Beetle.
He needed something with better gas mileage.

Know any broke rednecks with a Hellcat?

I probably should clarify that I own a few PTO units and those are the flex fuel ones. So far at least for me it has saved us money running the E85 I am paying 50% or less for it and it burns almost the same maybe 10% faster

Not bad! What kind of porty? I just put some new C302A Mytee Vacs in my 2008' Speedster and it Extracts! About 1, 3 stage away from #36 blower not bad for 100lbs!
Besides that vlm, custodial as non fuel non depreciated revenues.
