Wouldn’t it be easier have a come to Jesus with techs about the $5 than showing the customer that $5? It would for me.We are kicking around the idea of adding a $5.00 fuel surcharge to each order as a separate line item. We pay our crews commission, so an increase in prices will partially go into their pocket.
We raised our prices last summer and to raise them again so quickly may not sit well with our customers. The $5.00 fuel surcharge is very understandable since the cost of gas is the lead story in all the newscasts!
'Absolutely ridiculous' - Motorists despair at petrol prices as AA predicts $4 a litre
Drivers should prepare to pay up to $4 a litre for petrol, according to the AA.www.nzherald.co.nz
They are already there in places
I am running that E85 only now I am trying not to raise our prices as we haven't really gained traction out of the slower JAN & FEB months
E85 should be good but I think it burns faster its 3$ a gallon right now
for the most part, your customers dont notice any price increases. The only ones that know are YOU!We raised our prices last summer and to raise them again so quickly may not sit well with our customers
a friend of mine who knows this industry better than most, just returned from this event..

"you all are going to be driving electric vans waay sooner than you think"....
Doesn't matter what the price of gas is, I'm still not going to drink it.people complain about gas prices at $5 a gallon and then go spend $5 on a 16 oz cup of coffee. that is what doesn't make any sense.
What about 1 oz Fireball shot for $5.00 plus tip!people complain about gas prices at $5 a gallon and then go spend $5 on a 16 oz cup of coffee. that is what doesn't make any sense.
In the "gas crisis" years of the 70s I ran across a guy wanting to trade a track-built 70 Cuda. I gave him $500 and my beater 65 Beetle. The purchases were made with the cost of the fuel worked in to their monthly budget. Now that budget gets more than doubled, and that vehicle may no longer be affordable.
I probably should clarify that I own a few PTO units and those are the flex fuel ones. So far at least for me it has saved us money running the E85 I am paying 50% or less for it and it burns almost the same maybe 10% faster
I could be wrong but I think the extra fuel burned offsets the cost most of the time. I'd be real leery running that in a slide in
E85 is $2.50 a gal?I probably should clarify that I own a few PTO units and those are the flex fuel ones. So far at least for me it has saved us money running the E85 I am paying 50% or less for it and it burns almost the same maybe 10% faster
I have been paying 2.79 a gallon right now its up to 3.30 but regular low grade 87 is 5.59 diesel is mid 6E85 is $2.50 a gal?
Not bad! What kind of porty? I just put some new C302A Mytee Vacs in my 2008' Speedster and it Extracts! About 1, 3 stage away from #36 blower not bad for 100lbs!It sure was nice working with a portable all week and not needing gas.
cleaned 1370 banquet chairs.
