how many hours a weekend this time of year?
This time of year is iffy... the weather is still too fluky. This past weekend we didn't go out on Saturday because it was pretty chilly and windy. Sunday was still breezy but a high of 78. After I split a couple cords of wood, we went out and hung out from about 1:30 until 6:00ish.

During the summer we will be out Friday after work until sunset, Saturday afternoon into the late evening/night. Sunday afternoon until sunset.

It depends on if we have company come over or we meet up with friends on the lake.

Family...taking the boys to play basketball, football, soccer, boogie boarding in the ocean, flag football, bicycle riding, skateboarding, playing video games with them, bouncing on the trampoline, hitting the beach couple of times a week.
Church.
Volunteering.
Make some sand art and chalk art occasionally.
Meeting random people on the beach to sell them prints and listen to their life stories that I'm highly uninterested in... but act through it quite well.
Walk miles on the sand...and pick up trash that all you, tourists, bring to the beaches 😠

Hang out...with lots of friends.

Go to Cars and Coffee some Saturday mornings.

why/how does the sand get so dark?

It's simple...scratch the smooth sand with a rake, step back, and you'll see the contrast between smooth (light color) and scored sand (dark color)
Light breaks on it differently when it's not a smooth surface anymore.
And of course, I can adjust the photos digitally too....but just look at the videos and see how "dark" it gets with a stroke of a brush (rake) without any digital help.

I like turtle watching too.

Rolled the lawn about a month ago and for a couple days had little turtles scurrying around the yard.

That's a lot, but could you imagine doing anything less?

Sometimes I get silly projects going -like this.
Last year before we worked on the backyard and front yard, I made this.

It actually works and helps in keeping drinks a bit cooler. Yes, I could just put them on ice in a regular cooler..but this is a lot more fun as a party trick.

Oh and shut up about my accent- I am quite well aware of my accent.
