What do you REALLY do between jobs?

And don't give me that " I hang 5 rounds" or "I give free demos" BS!

What do you REALLY DO?

We had to start our first job an hour early today, our second was cool, let us in early, but the last one "couldn't" :roll: (ya sure you bettcha) Jerk was washing pans from some cookies he took outta the oven when we got there, how long does that mean he was home? At least an hour hour and a half right?

Freak.

Anyhoo, in the hour plus we had to kill, went shoe shopping,

And we ran into two other CC's coming into the store as we were leaving, killing time same as us.

I am usually close to the house, so I come home and work on my remote control skills. And try to get even fatter.

call 'em and tell them we'll be early

we schedule res with 2 hour windows, so generally we're good to go

On the rare occasion we can't do it early, I'll have 'em stop and the car wash and clean the van, gear, windows, etc.
Depending how early we are, it's anything from straightening up and a wash to pulling every piece of gear and jug out and detailing it all

If I'm on the van with one of the Little Genies, we find something productive to do.
Might be stops to schmooze, pick up juice, job materials, etc.
I hate to pay a man to sit, though we may hit the Chinese buffet ...which is a double hit
an hour's wages AND the tab...yes, I always pay the tab



If I'm on the van alone, it's anything I damn well please.. :mrgreen:

Years ago i worked alone a fair amount.
I always kept my ultra-lite rod and bass pack on the shelf

study my iicrc materials...and go over Chem-Dry's 5-Star (Master Technician) info. o.k, not really, usually go read magz in CVS/Walgreens...you know..the best places to take a doo-doo if needed. Or just go spray paint on the side of bldgs "Mikes a moron"...but crazy enough, there's not many bldgs in town without that already on them.

I polish my rocket, check my sheep herd and shear any that need it, frame a house, climb ladders, go drink free coffee at my suppliers, I've even been known to pull my van over and catch a nap. If it's more than an hour, I go home and catch Judge Judy ( WHAT A FREAKIN' MEAN OLD BITCH) or Springer. Sometimes I go to the gym. Sometimes a walk. Take care of my banking. Catch up on my invoicing. Rebuild an engine. Sometimes I'll go buy a couple of boxes of chocolates and drop them off at the offices of PM's that give me lots of work. Think. Mediate labor disputes. Continue my personal research into excessive flatuation in heavily populated urban areas.

Or just goof off.

I used to spend about an hour between each job returning phone calls and scheduling jobs.

It got re-God-Damn-Diculous.
