I kept the idea but gave up on amateur hour and let a pro do the finish work. :headbang:

Back page should say "and when they do, tell your insurance provider"

Look very sharp, professional and love the color schemes.
Really do not have any experience with water damage and am terrible at copywriting.

Looks like something i would do, very corporate, safe and boring. I personally like it but not sure if it really jumps out a reader and grabs their attention.
Maybe that's what you want though...

Looks very nice, informative and clean. Only thing I would add would be that your logo on the truck is different than your current updated logo. I would either use a different truck picture or have the graphic designer overlay it onto the current picture.

Geez I am sure glad I posted this here.

P.S. John I got that tool in today and sent it with them this afternoon. I'm anxious to see what they think.

Cool keep checking the glide it seemed "sloppy". You might need to goop it. I think the lips are slightly farther apart then before. The glide didn't snug up like I remember.

While I think I've spoken about pain points to death in my short few days here, I won't really get into pushing them too hard here since you're not looking for that.

However, "can cause odors, mold growth and other issues leading to costly repairs and poor indoor air quality"

I would write like this at the VERY least, " can cause odors, mold growth, and other issues leading to costly repairs and poor indoor air quality."

Just putting a little more emphasis on what could potentially happen.

Thanks,

James

I realize I'm an unknown here but I wanted to put a different style of the page1 text "out there" for thought.
I think it moves a little faster (I know I don't digest complex sentences when looking to solve a problem, I want information and reassurance.) I also tried to extend the Proven Service and Count On headings-

"You can count on Chavez Restoration to do more than dry your carpet and pad. Our experienced drying specialists are trained to find every last drop of water no matter where it hides. Hidden water will cause mold, odors, and decay…leading to increasingly poor indoor air quality. These problems will require reconstruction work which is usually quite expensive.

Chavez Restoration removes all the water, all the time.

Our proven services will save your property and your health. Exceeding your expectations is our philosophy and our daily practice. Call us. We’re the ones you can count on."

Hey Doc,

What type of contents does your leave behind packet consist of?

Are they left in a folder? Or am I taking "packet" to literally and it's actually just this one piece?

Currently its in a plastic bag, door hanger size but no hole punched. It contains a magnet, after care brochure, air duct flyer, twenty dollar discount coupon for other services over min charge.

I plan to change it over to a 6x9 envelope that we can add a graphic or two on the front and list other services on the back. Then rotate a featured coupon quarterly for various services, air ducts, Tile, area rug, upholstery. If that ain't too 80'sish ??? (Ken) :p

Sounds like a good little package.

How do you ensure that you're at the top of mind when they do come across water damage in their house?

Just thinking out loud, would a faulty hot water tank or leaking air conditioner freezing up and thawing be common causes of potential problems that your services would need to be called in to correct?

What if you had a set of stickers or magnets that instructed the people to put them on these appliances, just in case something does happen, they can quickly and easily grab your phone number to call you in ASAP. Then you're at the top of mind at all times without having to "pester" them with constant re-marketing.

Yes our magnets are emergency magnets and are left behind after every cleaning job.

We also direct mail a series of post cards to targeted groups plumbers, insurance agents, property managers, facilities managers, retirement villages, radio, TV, home shows, chamber of commerce business to business, held a couple of “business after hours”, held Christmas open house with several hundred attendees yearly, direct contact (belly to belly) businesses from our data base with 24-hour emergency literature, specialty items and goodies.
We have also put on power point programs for facilities managers groups and have many CEC classes for Agents & Adjusters. Have been a frequent guests on a Saturday morning “around the home” talk radio show.

Lots of things other small things, just about any time or anywhere we can be seen or heard.

Hey Doc,

More thoughts on this piece, or doing direct mail with it.

As a leave behind, maybe you'd have already offered a complimentary check-up on if there is any potential water problems in the house. If you're not doing that I'd suggest that would be a good idea, since maybe a 15 minute check-up could land you some customers.

What about as a direct mail piece though?

Fill in the blanks for my own ignorance. Make a very short video showing them how they can check frequent problem areas for potential water damage themselves. Make sure it's scripted, keep the scenes VERY SHORT and to the point. As an expert, you may have the problem of spewing too much knowledge on video, when really the prospect doesn't care.

Scene 1.

Hi, I'm Doc Holliday, over the next couple of minutes I'm going to show you a few methods that can potentially save you A LOT of money by doing a few tests that will help you use early diagnosis methods in finding leaks/water damage in your home.

Scene 2.

First, the hot water tank, we're going to .....

Scene 3.

Second, the chimney.......
_______________________________________________

I'd shoot all the instructive scenes first, throw them all together, then shoot the 1st scene so you can give them a real number, "Over the next 2 minutes and 13 seconds".

Put emphasis on the fact that with early detection, they can eliminate potential health problems, save a considerable amount of money and not have to deal with insurance companies.

In the video I would tell them to keep the web page window open, run around and do the checks, come back, if they find any problems to call you right away.
______________________________________________

Copywriting (it's my bread & butter ya know..)

"Do You Know The Early Warning Signs Of Water Damage In Your Home?"
Water Damage in Homes Can Cause (Fill This In)
By Being Proactive You Can Avoid All Of These Problems
Go to ChavezRestoration.com/WaterDamage
"For Our 4 Step Early Detection Test"

Note: Maybe try using a QR code to drive the traffic. You could also turn this into flyers and put them up, the interesting question could catch their attention, get some traffic to the video page.
_____________________________________________

Video Page: Make this a landing page, so it's your video, phone number, maybe a testimonial in the amazing job you've done. But, don't overcrowd it, the video page goal is to educate and convert.

I'd test contact form, phone number, both... I imagine if somebody runs around the house checks all the areas you tell them, finds a problem, it'll be more urgent so they'd opt for the phone call.
_____________________________________________

You're educating the prospect, while building rapport by putting your face on camera AND, you're helping people turn themselves into your customers, all the while preventing them any real pain by being proactive instead of reactive.

Thanks,

James

Good idea, we planned on a separate landing page with tips but a video would probably be a better idea.

WATER Tips
Rain Gutters: Check your gutters for obstructions, leafs and pine needles can cause water to backup the roof and go inside the attic space and walls.
Down Spouts: Make sure are carrying water away from the home and as far from the foundation as possible.
Sump Pumps: You might also check the mechanisms on your if you have one and make sure its operating correctly.
Outside drains: Clear drain grate of any of leafs and debris that could cause water intrusion
Window Wells: Make sure they are covered and that the soil level around them carries the water away from the home.
