what options and what condition?

Kelly Blue book lists wholesale price (trade-in value) for the basic ext Super Cargo at appx $8500

http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/Pricing ... onditions=

Is this a private owner sale or dealer?

also Kelly pricing is regional .
Plug in your zip code and the orptions you know it has for a more accurate value figure.
They's show dealer price, private owner sale and trade-in value

If it's a V-6 , it will be an underpowered donkey.
If 5.4ltr, V-8 it's a good motor with very good feul economy.
My ext Super Cargo get 18 mpg hi-way fully loaded
I get 18MPG hi-way fully loaded with mine

Larry,
It's a private owner. Used very little. Great condition.
I don't know if it's a v8 4.6 or 5.4 yet. How important is that?

Also, I am looking at a F 350 extended with a 6.0L V8 power stroke turbo diesel with 67,000. Asking $18,000.
What do you think about these?

I am trying to find a used van that can last a long time that will be able to put a slide in + all the extra and hopefully be able to tow a horse trailer (5- 6,000 or so pounds) when needed on the weekends- For the wife.
Thanks

The 5.4 gets better mileage and has more power.

wish Becker would see this, as he has more knowledge about the diesels.
From what I've "heard" though, the new (relatively) 6ltr diesel has issues.
Can't recall what those issues were though or if they've got them straightened out or not

the 13,000 mile 3/4 ton ext van would seem to fit that bill.
Add a set of Airlift air bladders... $230 from Summit Racing
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AIR-57125/
and a good class 3 trailer hitch and you're in bid'niss

$10,000-11,000 would be a fair to good price depending on option packages

Anybody else familiar with the Ford E 350 with a 6.0L V8 power stroke turbo diesel engines?
Are they known to have problems?

Thanks

I THINK the 2004-05 6.0 Powerstrokes had recalls to fix the issues the had with burning up Turbos, as long as it was cleared, you should be ok.

What kind of mechanical shape is it in. There can be problems the owner don't know about.

Suggestion: Have a qualified mechanic inspect it. Older vans will can be costly to repair.
