I think you could be learn a ton from doing a RLMA Ride Along

Aside from the bra...

That guy is making us look like idiots! The customer just want their s*** cleaned. They don't want to mess around with trying to decide what package they want. This isn't buying directv or purchasing a cell phone plan. It's pissing me off, thinking I actually tried that crap a few years ago before I opened my eyes when I realized I was wasting my customer's time.

If Steve or Bill is on lurking in the background reading this stuff, I hope they get off their high horse and realize that this isn't like the old days before the internet and adjust their teaching of being tactful on SoftSelling to build the invoice up. The dude actually tried to add on ANOTHER upsell on top of his stupid packages with cleaning the stairway. Then he was rambling on with his "EDuclEAN" Fookin idiot.

The dude turned an expected $50 "steam clean" job into a $550 upsell??? I guarantee that lady will be dwelling on that $500 upsell and will be pissed that she was pressured into that.

I highly doubt that lady was a real customer

What those packages were really telling that lady:

"If you don't take my ridiculous add on packages, I'm gonna punish you and screw up your carpet with a $50 splash and dash!"

But if he marketed a good, quality cleaning an fabric protectant with an average $125-$150 minimum, he could soft sell the other items that would be more appreciated and end the job with the same amount, and a customer that has a higher respect for him.
