Our 2014 AT in comparison to our 2004 Vortex is teaching me about how third world countries and their need for our metals are effecting the quality of what we get now get as left overs.

Front wheel bearings failed on the AT recently. Vortex still fine.

Pillow block bearings failed already on the AT this summer, second set just went out after two months of use today. Vortex were replaced out of worry this year but not need.

AT Vac relief valve has been nothing but trouble with corrosion. Vortex still original and no problems.

AT did step up and overnight a set of pillow blocks and a drive shaft I'm happy to say..

Look what we found in the blower?
Aluminum liner bits from a few months back when a filter failed.

Again: the Chinese word for “confusion” is “heat tleatment.”

Jap or Taiwan, good. Korean, maybe. Brazilian, maybe. Canadian, best Timpkin bearings anywhere.

USA, good if you can find it.
German, good but four times the cost. Swiss, only if it is chocolate or your name is Rockefeller.

I'm not sure where we got the aluminum ones but they come stock with stainless and we had plenty of stainless ones on the Sshelf to replace them with

Not all stainless is the same.

Thank recycling for the degradation of just about all metal products. It's good for the environment though. :icon_rolleyes:

If you run Flow Ezy filters make sure you get the PASS models like Larry sells that has the stainless supports and not the less expensive P model which has plain steel supports more designed for hydraulic fluid filtering.
Never seen a filter with aluminum supports.

Trump has big plans for the US steel industry if he can get a major infrastructure package approved.

That's why he's so coal friendly.

He's no dummy.
