I can't figure this out and neither can some other cleaners I called. Now I have one of the reps from the product coming out to this customers house tomorrow to see what the hell.

We cleaned this ceramic tile using Viper Venom w Citrus Powder. We have cleaned this type of tile along with many others with this prodcut. Mixed up and rinsed as recommended as always done at every other job. The customer called us the next day saying it looked hazy or possibly stained. It almost looks like a residue. We went back out and recleaned as recommended by the product manufacture with an acidic product. Used Viper Renew (second time out) on a small portion of the tile (this is acidic). Still no change. We then used a floor stripper thinking it was some polish or wax the customer maid service put down. Still nothing. Used a PH neutral cleaning agent, nothing. Because we don't have a truck mount I called another company and PAID For them to re clean it. Nothing changed. We went back out and scrubbed w a red pad and a paste stone scrubber. Nothing changed.

I have a rep for the product coming to the customers house tomorrow to see what's going on. I was hoping someone on here may have a suggestion to. If this can't be figured, out she wants to file an insurance claim w our insurance. I don't see how we caused this, but since it wasn't this bad before we cleaned it, it's obviously our fault. Has anyone came across this before?? Any suggestions?

By the way, this is the first time she's had it cleaned since moving in 4 years ago. Her up keep on it has been having a maid service mop it with what she says was only natural products. It is also isn't on every tile in the home, but on a major majority.

I'll take a guess. It's either residue from the alkaline cleaner, which believe it or not can be a bear to get off if you let it dry, or it could be sealer residue from the last time it was sealed. Either way, try the same alkaline cleaner and see if that will re emulsify it or find out what sealer was applied and try and re emulsify with it.

I have no idea what this is. But one more thing you could dry is to use a white or salt/pepper polishing pad and try to buff it off. COuld use 175 or a higher speed buffer. No chemical needed. Just see if ti can be removed by abarasion.

Weirdly, I went to Facebook and this was there... Looks like same problem you are having to me.

I can't figure this out and neither can some other cleaners I called.

A homeowner used vinegar and water for years on her porcelain, leaving behind a gradually building residue that evenly covered the floor. My clients cleaned the floor but there was still quite a bit of stubborn residue clogging the pores. StonePro StoneScrub used with an 800 grit Spinergy pad did the trick. You can get these products and consult my expertise at Aramsco Interlink Supply. Aramsco Interlink rocks!

His post is from the job I showed above. He met us this morning and tested products on it. The stone scrub w the 800 diamond pad, rinse and then buffed w a white pad after worked. @Robert Falzone thank you!

What really worked was buffing with the white pad which I suggested. Rob just throws in a little more showmanship.
