What's this Vortex worth?

Hi,

A friend recently passed and I'm assisting his mother with the sell of his Vortex. We're not sure what it's worth so I'm hoping you can help. Any suggestions you can give is much appreciated! Thank you very much,

200k miles
5100 hours
comes with 500' vac and pressure line, 2 Prochem Titanium wands and a new in box Cat pump (old pump was rebuild about a year ago and still going strong). Tires are in great shape. Fire's up instantly, runs strong, good brakes, huge yellow blower, three 2.5 vac ports, Pioneer deck, electric windows, cold A/C, big stainless steel recovery tank with bottom drain,

But I am sure you could get around $40,000 from someone who asked questions. I have seen others up for that amount.

Honestly this is what it will come down to.

Does it have rust?

I didn't notice any rust in or around the box. This is a New Mexico vehicle so rust is usually not an issue.

I am aware of a few issues.

1. The fresh water tank has a slow leak common with this year, make and model.

2. A small oil leak on passenger side.

3. Squeaky belts. I was on a job w Ron a few weeks ago and the belts started squeaking. He went out to the truck and put some belt dressing on them and the squeaking went away.

Rust can be fixed.. How was it maintained?
I would think about $25-$27,000.

I would price below 30k.
It looks clean but mileage plus hours is gonna scare the buyers.
It's at like 380,000 miles combined.

Those UD are tanks though. Many yrs of cleaning left in that truck.

selling mine on Ebay and MB classifieds for 24500.00. It has less miles and hours on it.

rust in one spot on rear window.
gauges oddly don't always work immediately-- maybe because they are in shock at start up because the unit is rarely used.
my understanding is that it needs to be retired from service in California in 2020.
blower like new--- replaced in 2010 and then unit was semi retired due to lack of business and the techs prefer to drive and park our Sprinters

Price is such a tough thing. When I buy things I want to be brutal on the price negotiation. Hard to be brutal in negotiating with this situation. The Vortex is so loveable/hateable.

Are you selling his customer list too?

The customer list is a rapidly depreciating asset I would think.
