It's called shading and it happens from the first step on the carpet.

they round the corner into the room, hence the wear pattern or ruff looking fibers to the right.

cheap carpet or cheap pad or both.

the only wear pattern I see seems to be from foot traffic (probably shufflers) not from the door. The door appears to be high enough and there is a straight path of damage rather than following the door arc

Yeah, you're right because it doesn't go all the way to the door on the right...and doesn't follow the pattern of the door.


I'll go with it's just some ugly a$$ carpet.

I tried but I don't like this game! Looks like the end of the door may rub a bit? Otherwise don't see a real problem.

I did a polyester with pooling , reverse nap all in the TFA's for some church friends it hard to tell people "This carpet sucks and is notrious for that kind of crap."

True but I do tell them......

Luckly most have moved into the house, or it was a new house and thats what the builders put in.....either way....they haven't put that shit back in
