8001's in particular.

FPA has so much solids, it's plugging them up and the clean out process is a pita on site..

That would be nice I promised my wife this might be my last year time to retire 75 next month but I still love carpet cleaning and just might clean for the exercise and meeting people. I might want to help at the Mc Donalds house if you still need it.

8001's seem to be a bit small for fpa application. Especially for carpet. After use, try flushing with a little oms.

Jack;

The General pump that Kleenrite sells,

does not come with Teflon(r) seals that most carpet cleaners need,

for long life and run-dry capability .

This product line features patent-pending packing, a valve design that can withstand high temperatures—up to 185°F!—and the capacity to run dry for several hours...

What's the difference between the seals that come with it and "Teflon" seals you sell?

The General Emperor Pumps (more expensive) ,

and the special ones we order come with Teflon plunger seals.

Just letting you know there is a difference.

Over application of FPA is a no no
Because it's so expensive? Or does it affect the carpet.? Are you using the 8001 on carpet or upholstery. Most water based protectors such as Scotchgard or Teflon use a 8004. For upholstery with a solvent protector, I use a electric airless paint sprayer. I keep a litre (quart) of oms in the truck and rinse it right away so it doesn't clog up.

The new pump is the same # as the original but not with Teflon seals. Does the hot water go through the pump or just cold water ? jz.

Cold water, but the pump water will heat quickly from friction, when you are not spraying.
Just keep that pump spraying water every few minutes, and you will be fine.
