When I was in the insurance agency biz, we acquired an agency and the same occurred. The good thing about it is, usually it can help tax wise.Me and Mikey have been friends a very very very long time. We did this FOR Lisa. Mikey has some great ideas that will be coming soon!! But taking over for Lisa was never about money, as we have yet to take a penny in fact we are in "debt" as a company building inventory back up. I hate being back ordered hate it and then we found out as shit ton of inventory is ALL WRONG. yeah that is a very very expensive WTF. but back to Mikey he works on design and the facebook page I stock and ship and pay everyone. It works for all of us. Now I haven't been on here in a long time so not sure what all everyone knows about the Drama we went through but I had to stay away from here for my own health. I will still stomp a new mud hole in the POS for what he put us through for trying to take care of our friend. Unforgivable PERIOD.
I agree that Marty should just let go. Bless his damn heart.40,000 posts of nothing to say
one note Marty
if you ever had the inclination to learn a musical instrument , I recommend the triangle ....
better yet , go with a metronome .... it will relax you as you transition to your final nap
Why are defoamers always left off these lists?Want faster dry times?
1. Move to Nevada
2. Don't pre-spray so far ahead of yourself.
3. Don't trigger the wand on the forward strokes.
4. Clean your filters more often.
5. Do more dry strokes and be deliberate about them being sure to overlap especially on the ends of the stroke.
6. Use good chemicals that rinse freely.
7.Move to Nevada
Cause it’s not 1973
if I go through half a tub a year of defoamer, thats pushing it.Why are defoamers always left off these lists?
It takes less than a minute to sprinkle some around. If you get into the habit of doing it your levels of extraction stays consistent on every job. Every job doesn’t need it. But it makes every job better. Only takes a little product and a little time. I guess I like that 70’s groove.if I go through half a tub a year of defoamer, thats pushing it.
I did a few rooms with the SS14 an no whip the other day.
Not worth the effort.
I dont follow many sudsy cleaners and am 60% repeatIt takes less than a minute to sprinkle some around. If you get into the habit of doing it your levels of extraction stays consistent on every job. I thought the 14 would be faster than the 12-- but I'm beginning to have my doubts.
Rarely see a need for defoam, but if it works for you why not.Me too.
Maybe I’m Sudsy. Oh well. I’ll go back to lurking for now.
Wait....we are still talking carpet cleaning...right?I'm not vury good at math, but know how to work a calculator
on a 16ft wide room, 2" wider stroke cuts 3ft off the width
on a 25x16 room, 2" additional shaves 75sf of strokes
75sf X's 5 or 10 rooms a day adds up
the question I wonder, what's less stressful on the body long term?
It's all about years and years and decades of physical repetitive motion that causes pain great or small to all eventually
so I wonder
20% more strokes and time per room with a little easier push, or 20% less strokes 'n work a day with more productive head ?

There’s a really good chance you will not like the Dev12 as much as your SS12.I gave the 2"Dev14 a rest yesterday and used the ss12 without a whip yesterday and it was a joy.

I might have to follow @Mikey P and replace my Dev14 with a Dev 12.
Disclaimer: If I still used a TM with a 5.9 blower- I believe a bigger wand would be faster.
The wand and technique should be adjusted to the equipment used.

What blower? Its seems less strokes are needed with the 12 inch wand because More water is removed with each stroke.
Odd- i agree.- but 12 works better with smaller blower.
1 stroke was all i needed w the V.
.l..given the likelihood Columbo doesn't know the difference, I'll illustrate for him
here's the blower in a "normal" TM

My SS12 is Flared to take 2 inch hose. The SSti wands are so damn light, "2" can teeter tooter them.
