in a situation like that take a few 2 liter bottles of 7up and dump it all over the tile and let it dry. The acid from the soda will take that haze right off.

and the sugar residue will have it soiled again over night.

WTF?

yes it is efflorescence.

Let it dry real well, let it all wick up and go back and wipe it off with a rag or bonnet moist with a mild acid solution. Do not over wet or you will start the whole process over again

you could try Diet Coke then put a mentos in the top. Point the 2 litre bottle at the haze and watch the haze disappear before your eyes. shiteatinggrin
