White Magic is done (warehouse is closed everyone laid off) just like I said and if by my bringing this info out a couple weeks early I hurt a possible distributor sales BUT kept a poor broke dick from getting stuck with a machine with no future or support than god bless me.


Rumors of the Direct Drive unit being bought and by another company is the only good news to come out of this.



My condolences to the owner, employees and owners of WM equipment.

Hard to say..

I feel prochem and hydramaster have chems to keep them afloat in hard times.

Saffire is diversified as well..

I'd have to say Butler.. And the only reason why is the lack of US wide distribution, sales. repair and service.
Not knocking Bulter in the slightest. I feel they build the best PTO CDS unit on the market. ( not including bob )
Just never liked the iron gates of sales..

I know no cleaner that uses Butler products that does not own a bulter under a tight lease.

So, my vote would be Butler...


In Vegas, I'd walk over to the BIG WHEEL to place my bet and pass on pick the next dead TM table...

I owned a White Magic (quite tragic)...I don't wish loss of jobs or company on anyone....but they sucked hind tit with old sow and this is just a byproduct of baaaaaad business.(Ok that was a pig and a goat...but you get the picture)

Their TMS were hunks of lama shit ifn you asks me.....and I am the lowest of authority on the mechanics of it. THAT should tell you something.

this could be very true.....I got out of the PTO units......and I am saving a lot...
I know this is not comparing apples to apples because the Vortex was diesel...but I got a bigger truck then the UD was...I am getting about 2 miles more per gallon and that includes running the machine...and the gas is way cheaper then diesel....my truck is not siting there running burning fuel....and it is less maintenance and wear and tear......I think that if the economy stays the way it is and the gas prices keep spiking......more and more people will get out of the PTO units.............

I wil miss them. The Pro 1200 is the only truckmount I ever worked with, still use my first one from 1987 and now my 2003 that has 8000 problem free hours. I like the simplicity and reliability of a direct drive, the fuel cost is a small price to pay for always being able to work. Best built direct drive unit on the market.

Thanks Tom. Rob Allen has no impact on White Magic, but this kind of misinformation could hurt them. Mike was told something that is clearly false and he writes it as a fact. There needs to be accountability.

What about the smaller companies? Judson will stay for sure.. TCS will stay because what I have heard their sales are way up because of there price point!!!! So I vote hydramaster and prochem out... Their machines are not all that good.. Saphire is lowering their prices to compete.. Plus they have a pretty blue color on their machines
