I have taken Ellen and Aaron's IICRC course and heard them speak many times at conventions. Ellen has a great sense of humor and being from Texas I like the accent. She is one of my favorite's when it comes to rug cleaning instructors. I also recently went through Lisa's online rug cleaning course. It was great, and the best part was that I could do it on my own time. I have also been to Jeff and Ruth's rug class and they do a good job also. There is not really anybody that I don't like, they just bring different things to the table. This is good because with rugs you need lots of education because every rug is different.

This course was not about rug washing. Rather, it was all about repair. The offer to enroll was first offered to certified Master Rug Cleaners.

This course taught by Robert Mann, and his key staff member Jill, was well received.

Perhaps thought will be given to do it again. Maybe Aaron will come on this thread and mention something about this.

I had the opportunity to attend this course and it was a little more than basic repair, it helped considerable in my understanding and repair techniques. I'm green shirted scruffy looking one above.

Agreed. "Ron H", by trying to smear the rep of Ellen & Aaron, is exposing his own ignorance - or bias. They are not only outstanding rug instructors, they are two of the finest people I've ever met. The idea that being a 3rd generation rug brat is somehow a liability(?!) made me LOL. I'd trust Aaron to personally clean ANY of my own rugs - even my silks (and there's not many people I'd trust with my property).
For someone new to the rug cleaning biz, I highly recommend Aaron's hands-on, boots-on IICRC RCT class. As for Ellen's Master Rug Cleaner program, that course would be a great investment for anyone who wants to get to the next level of rug care. For some that might be rug ID, for others, that might be mentorship. But I've never met a dissatisfied student of Ellen & Aaron. Have you?
