Do respond to the review and respond in kind.
No accusations, no excuses, no anger, just the facts and more important- your willingness to correct it. The way you respond will tell potential clients more about you and your business than the bad review does.
She reposted a much nastier post she's not going away!

From both Yelp postings, she was never going to be a repeat customer and anyone she knows most likely you wouldn't want as a customer..... Tell her take a long walk off a short pier.......

Yesterday a prospect emailed me photos of super trashed carpet and microfiber sofa--- I declined the work and told her the items needed to be replaced--

This should be a wake up call to all it's "the new normal".
Some times I think it's easier to get a bad review then a good review on yelp... I can't tell you how many times customers have said they were going to write us a great review and then never do...
