We left Tahoe Tuesday night, aborting our plans to ski Wednesday morning. We didn't want to get stuck on the road or in Tahoe.
Our hotel in Tahoe lost power Tuesday afternoon, making our decision to leave easier.
We heard Carson City lost power on Monday and Tuesday, and maybe that is why the Nevada side of Heavenly was closed. Heavenly was a big Mess since half the mountain was closed.

We lost power Wednesday night in Daly City when two power poles were blown down a block from my house. The Internet and cable also went down.
Luckily we have limited battery backup power. We also have 4 Mr. Buddy portable propane heaters for heat if needed.

After that I don't have a place to stay here and driving up is to costly daily.


Driving up for 2-3 days is worth it.
