I don't know how a carpet cleaner would ever get by without a Parker fitting store in their neighborhood.

agree. Have replaced several Prochem Upholstery tool solution hoses.

They have every fitting imaginable.

Used to get the Parker Parflex until I found something better.

I have 2 main stores near me. One called Greenline and the other is *******. Both have all the hoses and fittings you'll ever need. There are a couple of others around as well.

The closest place to me to have a hose made is 5 hours round trip, therefore i use field repair ends and stock bulk hose and make hoses as i need um

Our Parker store will NOT repair a faulty, leaking fitting.

I use a hose supplier locally for all repairs.

It would help if you were a frequent visitor at the Parker store. Based on my experience they won't fix hoses other than those supplied by Parker. It is nice to have right connections at local hydraulic shops.

Never had a parker store near me but did have a industrial supply house and a trucking service center that made anything I needed.

bought some yellow from Cobblet 20 (?) years ago.
Don't recall if it was genuine Parker or knock-off.
It held up as well as genuine Parker

Have you ever tried thermoplastic hose? I got two sections of 120 and 170 feet two years ago, and I must admit that coil memory sucks equally in the cold and warm weather, but the hose itself holds up well. It's been slammed by heavy doors at a restaurant or apartment buildings numerous times. I wouldn't say I liked it initially; however, I can coil the entire length on my arm, and I'm not struggling with weight. I believe that I got it at Dultmeir online shop.

I had 1 of these a 75 footer on my old truck, i bought it at the vagas trade show what i hated about it was it was stiff, but as it turned out that was what i ended up liking about it .also it doesn't have steel braid so it's much lighter and didn't get hot so more heat got to the wand i riped it on a sharp corner of a door im probably going to go back to it , wish it came in green or red. not lovin the leaf green wanders hose i have now on frankinstien, 300 hours and poped one already

Parker and Goodyear Ineptune is all I've used, Mario

Lots of folks complain about Parker being stiff and memory curl.
I didn't find that to a big deal after a week or two.
Don't know if a bigger PITA for those with small arbor reels and/or live reels?
and I'm sure it would be for those that hand coil and hang compared to steel braid

nevertheless, I found Parker to be far superior than Ineptune for a myriad of reasons.

Lasts longer
No black death
No instant/non warning blowout failures.
Lighter
Carries more heat to wand
not as hot to touch (won't scorch/melt poly)
smooth jacket doesn't grab corners. (also makes it easier to wipe off mud 'n crud when reeling in)

I'll note, if you run a fire breather (240 and above temps regular) you'll develop pin-hole leaks in the jacket at the TM end within a few months.
Occasional 240+ temps (as we did maybe 5 % of the time) didn't suffer so bad

I strongly suggest that if you're going to get neon green hoses invest in a hose washer, one that is easy to use or your new hoses will soon look like sh%$. I clean my hoses with each use, power reeling them thru a hoser@800psi works most of the time, but if they get drug thru mud hand reeling them in slow works great, on rare occasions ive washed while power reeling in then clean while pulling them out real slow and power reeling back in, i work in the country even quite a few multi million dollar homes have dirt driveways its a must for me

Thanks for thoroughly explaining the differences between the two types of hoses.
Yes, I remember seeing those pictures before and have read about your method of keeping them clean .I avoided purchasing hoser for a long time, but maybe it's time to invest in
" presentation." Dragging dirty hoses through the customer's house is nothing to be proud of.
I have blue Amflex hoses with a black inlay; just like you said, they're still smooth on the inside, except that debris is being caught on the edges of the cuffs( I should switch from Mytee plastic cuffs to vinyl or go with better quality like a Cool cuff.
Thanks again !

I stayed with the plain ole gray cuffs, looked into cool cuffs but they tear up th hoser rubber seals because they're larger diameter. But really keep in mind the lighter color hoses show dirt alot more than the darker colors especially yellows, whites, light pinks and leaf and neon greens but they do definitely set you apart from the competition, I'm constantly getting comments on my hoses from customers as well as other cleaners ive had custom colored hoses on all my machines since 1999, i would have put some of my old fuchsia colored hoses on this machine had it not been named Frankenstein after all.....🤓

Try flash cuffs. Less turbulence and better air flow.
