Noise would be a big detractor for me.. The DD I have worked on have that blower noise that I just can't handle.. That consistent whine would make me go insane!

If I brought one I would set it at 15 and think nothing of it.. All my Prochems are set at 15.

The new Pro-1200 SE was reengineered to deliver these breakthrough benefits:

The hottest van-powered direct-drive truckmount combines two engine coolant heat exchangers with Sapphire Scientific’s exclusive fin-tubed coil blower exhaust heat exchanger. This delivers continuous cleaning of 220+ degrees – no need to spend extra money on additional heat options.

Superior, quieter vacuum performancewith 408 HeliFlow helical vacuum blower. Vacuum at 13 in. and flows up to 455 CFM.

We get 240° out of our high heat Butlers.

Somebody have data on the relative sound level, in dB at various distances from the machine?

readings i took at about 5 feet from both the hydra master cps and the pro 1200.
both read near the same at 94-95 db max

Sound decreases with distance according to the inverse square law, which means you get approximately 6dB drop in sound level every time you double the distance. So if the initial reading is 95 dB at 5 feet, as you move away you would get:

10 ft - 91dB
20 ft - 85dB
40 ft - 79 dB
etc.

A normal conversation is about 65dB at 3 feet for comparison.

This rule only applies if there are no obstructions to reflect the sound (i.e. an open field). So if you park on the street and walk towards a house the sound would be louder than the prediction due to sound reverberating off the walls.

Wish that worked with my GF......... Some women need a volume control knob....... :shifty:

I think the point is that with the pro1200 you start off with the large blower and higher heat blower heat exchangers. Butlers base model is a 45 blower. You pay more for the 47 and then you pay more for the high heat. Of course a lot of people get the 45 blower with only engine heat exchangers. So who knows. But I'd assume most would get the Max vac and Max heat options if it didn't cost a few grand more.

Yeah bummed. But it worked out.
When Mom was super ticked she would get our names wrong. If she said all my brothers names first and then got your middle name right......you might as well just go find a belt.
Hopefully he will take it easy on them.God help em if they misspelled anything. I'm going to St Louis on May 14 to check out the new pro 1200.

Single wand?

What was the difference in appearance and dry times when you finished cleaning the carpet?

Dual Wand . . . The testing was measured at the 14" x 2" wand with 100ft of 2" hose while

12" x 1.5" wand with another 100' of 2" hose was also connected.

CFM was 200 @16" hg vs

CFM was 165 @13" hg .

Not much doubt which one had the best recovery !!

How did it do with 100' 2 1/2 and 100' of 2" followed by a 15' whip?
Does it really matter?
Does the carpet get cleaned and dry in a reasonable amount of time?
