i usually try to get the Pitts clutch..
sometimes i run the Four Seasons.......
i don't see the relevance of saying that it will handle only 20 HP...
when obviously the R&D done by the Steam Genie Corp was definitely more detailed than yor casual observation........

That casual observation is based on the pitts clutch specs found here:

http://www.coastalhyd.com/Clutches.html

along with the vac curve from here

http://www.pdblowers.com/admin/uploads/ ... _curve.pdf

Yes the R&D was done....and they chose to underdrive the shit out of the blower so the clutch would hold. !gotcha!
if it gets 15 to 16 Hg....what's the big deal?

hydramaster spins a roots 47 blower at 2800 rpm and drives a cat pump off of a clutch. the 4.8 machine I have actually overdrives the blower. The engine speed is set to 1500. So I think it makes sense that the volume of hydramaster machines sold that you can safely drive a 47 roots off a clutch

 This is some good stuff, I can attest to 453 hrs of problem free operation with very light main. on my latest unit. However on my last Steam Genie I am pretty sure the hours used gauge rolled over at least 12 times, If legend serves correct "Betsy's" Steam Genie lasted over 4 engines and 20 years.

DAMN...i went to the waterjetters to pick up my last two SS panels........today...

i usually get a brush or satin finish...but THIS time i tol them i wanted MIRROR FINISH.......
what came back was factory finish with the alloy codes still printed on.......
TWO CHOICES:
sand (1000 grit...then 1500)and wheel for two fulls days......... OR
powder coat over the Stainless???

i believe that i'll powder coat it unless one of you brainiacs can talk me outta it..............
