Lots of folks in this racket are very religious people. Right?

I know people in this biz who based upon their religious beliefs would shun family members who dared married out of their "sect". They take their faith this seriously :!:
They live their lives according to the bible's teaching in every way possible in today's society.
Real good people, honest, hardworking blue color types.

But when it comes to making money.

Anything goes.
Deal with the devil if that's what it takes to make payroll.

Where do YOU draw the line?

So..

some of you can't separate your "religious views" (that's what they ARE) from your business?

How I do business is indicative of my religion...but I don't go forcing God on anyone.

Although I'm not afraid to say "bless you"...whether they sneeze or not. !gotcha!

Just curious what god are you talking about. With thousands of them over the years its tough to say what someone believes in.

If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.

IMO your relationships with family, friends, clients, business partners and strangers should all be dealt with the exact same moral and spiritual convictions.

you unequally yoked, Yawk
good thing your heathen-vEgan azz is sanctified.....

on a serious note, until i got around the boards, I had no idea just how prevalent two religions are in this biz.
I think the Jwitt cartel is larger than the Mormon cartel though

And it not a matter of "separating" one's faith .
it doesn't matter if the prospect is religious ot not.
There's no conflict with conducting biz with the "gentiles" and heathens .
The only time there is a conflict, is if "you're" not conducting biz on the "up 'n up"

I've always thought that there is nothing more personal than business. Really its what we spend most of our day doing. What defines you more than how you conduct yourself all day long?

If your faith is real, and the object of your faith is big enough (God of the Bible), it ought to have an impact on how you live every second of your life. We serve everyone, no litmus test for if they agree 100%.

Re: Can you, will you, have you sperated business from relig

My faith defines me, it defines how I do work, how I interact with people. The only way I could separate my faith from my work is to hire someone else, well no, because it would still be my responsibility to hire an ethical person.

There's a verse which says do your work as if unto God ( Brent-just so theirs no confusion in your mind, well, no more than normal !gotcha!, I'm referring to THE God )
The customer may not be their watching but I know nothing goes unobserved, so that spot I can see but I know they won't, I still go back to clean it. ANY found money goes on a table (still need to use Steve's idea to make the customer more aware). That dry soil you guys rib me for taking the time to remove, well, I know its there and I know I can remove it, so I do. I've vacuumed many extra rooms at no charge, just because.
Don't let your left hand know what your right is doing, so if I see something that needs doing and I can do it, I just do, ie like little minor things.

If you can separate your "religion" from your business, it must not have much of an impact in your own life.

I have to say. My kids vare baptised and one has made communion and for 1 purpose, I think religions ,though the biggest lie ever told, provides a moral fiber I strongly agree with. I am an atheist because I am not dumb enough not to be but believe in what is preached morally

The God as per your opinion. You dont find it kinda odd that man has created so many gods over the years?
