Desk, you get three days of the best training that's available in the industry. You will also receive ongoing support 24/7, 365 days per year in The Dye Lot. You also have access to the ColorCue app (only available to those who take our trainings).

The ColorCue app takes the guesswork out of measuring color in carpets and rugs. It replaces the old fashioned color wheel, making color repair simple. The app will permit you to simply take a photo of a carpet or rug and will automatically calculate all of the colors that are present and will indicate exactly which colors need to be added in the precise percentages to bring that area back to a perfect color match.

If you don't agree that it was worth the money, I'll refund you.

You don't have any other obligations to me. We do have equipment and supplies that are available as an optional purchase, but they are not required purchases. For example, we make the dyes that we use available for those who would like to purchase them, but someone can certainly use their own dyes if they so choose. Mention Mikey's Board if you take the training and you'll receive a free set of dyes.

Pretty soon we won't need to take your course. All your material is going to be laid out on MB. Some pretty impressive pics and some not so much. I think it can pretty subjective and you have to qualify your customers expectations but certainly a needed service. I don't think I want to do it myself but it would be nice t
No worries I just made that shit up.:winky:

Haven't I made it abundantly clear that the majority of time I'm just talking out of my azz!
It's hard to hear you over all the farting noises

But then again it is "Burdick" pricing. :stir:
Burdick pricing ? :bull: It was on the recommendations of Chris Howel who personally came to the location of the client to help me on that job. It's the correct pricing .

Here is the question...would it have cost the same had Chris not shown up on site to assist? Or did the price reflect having a specialist there to assist you?

I was going in at $1800 by myself but realizing the technical difficulty and being green with the dying process I asked Chris to to assist .

To be clear, it was not stains that John was dealing with. It was multiple areas of color loss (bleaching) on a ultra-high end wool carpet in a mansion. The job took about 1 ½ hours and was priced at $2,000.00

John had just taken the class and requested assistance because of the high value of the carpet. I'm always happy to help people as I love to see people succeed.

Customer was happy and paid the bill.

Depends on who your target market is. $2,000 was nothing for this customer. Replacement value of the carpet was around $18,000. The customer made this very clear, so they were more than happy to pay John's price.

It was nice speaking to you this morning Chris. I will photo copy my dd214 and my va card and email those to you.

This is something I've wanted to do for some time now (color dying). Thank you for this opportunity.

:shifty:

Shit in these parts you can get shot for robbery doing stuff like that!
It's about the perceived value. If you can't justify the cost you can't justify to your client either. This customers Was looking at replacement of $18,000. She didn't blink twice at the price.

Dude its not about your customer, yours are fine with your price.

The issue is that in my town I only have a handful of those type of clients.
The majority would die when I'd tell them how much it would be to dye their carpet.

I gotta move to KC to offer that type of service. :errf:

Then I would bet you don't have access to a lot of customers that have $15k or more of carpet in their master suite.

Pricing for this type of service is strategic. It's reflective of the value to the customer and replacement cost. There will be times we use the same dyes, process and time and charge far less.

Kind of like changing the oil on a very high end car. Are the materials, labor and time that different from a Doing an oil change on a Honda? No, but it sure costs a lot more for an oli change a high end luxury car like a Maybach than it does the Honda.
