We are committed to building a new, more powerful portable extractor.

It will have Dual 8.4" Ametek Lamb Vacs with a total of 1346 AirWatts.

(the old Titan Quad-Vac we built was only 1000 AirWatts)

Pump system will be brand new Ametek hi-efficiency motor, coupled to a 500 PSI PumpTec,

delivering 1.6 GPM for superior flushing.

This extractor will operate on two 15 amp circuits,

due to increased efficiency of all the motor designs.

Projected weight should be ~95#.

Mytee extractors will be used as the starting point.

We are testing a couple of different models for interior volume.

Price will be in the $2900 range with Teflon glide SS wand & hoses.

The High Chapperal
will the mythical Torque Governor be preset to industry standards?

Larry, did you ever check the amp draw on the trx after messing with that torque adjustment?

Todd;

Not enough room with the powerful 8.4" Vacs.

New durable Ametek 1/4HP motor with PumpTec 500 PSI pump @1.6 GPM.

AirWatts are not a unit of measure most porty hacks are familiar with, or base a purchasing decision on.
Personally, the Airwatts of a machine does not tell me sheit.
(AirWatts................cleaning power (air watts) = 0.117354 × F (ft3/min) × S (pressure in inches of water)..........CFMxLift....:icon_rolleyes: )

With that being said........... what's the CFM and Lift..............Parallel or series???

Larry I would strongly suggest you look into a dump hose like US Products uses. Being able to dump directly into a commercial floor drain or toilet is a wonderful option. Also larger ballon wheels like on the dehumidifiers, or the wheel chair wheels that dirt invader used to use ( before they closed up shop). The "most powerful" extractor that is a pain in the ass to use has already been invented.

Here is a photo of the mounting plate for the 8.4" vac:

2" port for maximum CFM.

Vac shown is a 7.2" we were using for sizing.

P.S. Randy; we have the foam-filled 10" grey tires available.

The Breeze84 is finished.

Tested @ 210" of lift and 141 CFM.

The high Airflow is impressive.

These are the most efficient vac system ever in a portable.

The series 8.4" vacs and 2" Hose do require some volume.

The SS vac mounts are smaller than our 1st mounts for additional flexibility.

The 500 PSI PumpTec has the new Ametek 1/4 HP DC motor,

and delivers 1.6 GPM for excellent rinsing.

A fan on the left provides ample cooling air.

I finished testing the Breeze 84 today.

Lift on final setup was 220" of water.

More importantly, I ran the following tests with 12" wand on the carpet:

I graphed the Breeze 84, comparing it to 3 previous extractors.

I set a base extractor with Dual 3-stage vacs @ 100 relative performance.
VacMotGraph.jpg

Both the Quad Vac Titan (Mytee M5 based) & the Triple Vac LTD required at least one 20 amp circuit + 15 amp circuit.

The Breeze 84 only requires 15 and 12 amps.

Quad Vac had 28% more performance than Dual 3-stage Breeze.

Breeze 84 had 55% more performance than Dual 3-stage Breeze.

Comparing these performance levels to the TM performance levels I measured at Nick's BBQ last summer,

tells me that a Breeze 84 + a Booster with single 8.4" vac ,

should outperform a 16 HP TM with #3 blower.

ETM's are on their way !!

Is this available with auto fill/dump? Can it clean with 100ft of hose without a booster?

Hi Rob;

At 100 ft.of 2" vac hose, it would be equivalent to the 25 ft. of 1.5" hose that we tested with.

{2" Vac Hose only has 25% of the restriction of 1.5" Vac Hose}

Based on that, I would say it would clean very well @ 100 ft.

I personally would prefer a booster @ 100 ft.,

to make it stronger vac lift than a #3 TM.

Future extractors will be available with those options.

Frank;

AirWatts is the actual vac power of a vacuum system.

It is the best way to compare systems.

Here is the chart of AirWatt performance on the 8.4" Lamb vac motor:

http://dev.ametekfsm.com/Bulletins/122176-18.pdf

We plan on series . . .

with 230" of lift,

and 141 CFM.

Larry

I use an LTD5, prior to that the M5 both parallel with two vac stacks in waste tank plumbed all 2 inch, i might be in on one if it were set up that way, that nautilus with the dual 8.4's only use's a single stack regardless of if you have it set to series or parallel, thats why i would not buy that machine.
My thinking is and i'm no expert by any means on this stuff but if a machine is to be parallel it should have two vac stack in waste tank to be truly parallel
series set up just one vac stack, just sounds more logical to me.
Botom line i just prefer a parallel set up

I run 2-3 stage 5.7's in parallel but I run them into a manifold (no hoses) and the manifold is built in to the waste tank with 1-2 inch riser. Most powerful machine I have ever had for a portable. I have an old Mytee with 2 similar 3 stage vacs in parallel and 2 stacks in the recovery tank and it is positively wimpy compared to mine.

Things that make you go hmmm....

How long would it take you to build a custom machine like yours?

Mine as is is probably a little big. 24 gallons. I am thinking of doing a smaller 16 gallon machine with autofill/pump out options. To get the shell fabricated and all the components ordered would probably take a month.

If I get enough money and spare time, I am going to build another this year. I have an old aluminum tank that I am going to use for practice. I am looking at doing 2 8.4's on the same type of manifold and see if I have enough amperage left over to run the pump on 2 15 amp circuits. On my current configuration, I can run a pump out with out blowing breakers. My pump now gives me a 4 flow at 500 psi or a 6 flow at 350 psi. I have been using my new mach
12 with good results. If I need more production, I go to my 2 inch westpack with a 6 flow.

I'm not afraid to run cords, but not a @Willy P nut on cords though.. My average cord run is between 3-4 depending on if I use propane or electric heat.. Only 1 cord is more than a 15 amp which has the pump and 1 3stage vac on it.. Been using a 3rd 3stage vac to boost the suction at the machine..

Works for me..
