The Ralph Bloss Humanitarian Award was originated by ICS. Cleanfax and the Experience were gracious enough to want to continue it after ICS ceased publication, and the owners of ICS were gracious enough to let them. I don't know anything about the CleanFax person of the year award - other than it was started by John Downey. I know he used to ask for suggestions/nominations, but I think ultimately, he picked the winner. I could be wrong. I do not recall if it continued at all after he sold out.

You are expecting an old man like me to remember all of that?

Impressive list. I know or have met most of them. The others I've read about in the trades.

Certainly a prestigious award to those that have given their time and money to charitable causes.

Jimmy and Marty are fantastic choice options.
As yr's pass they both have my vote.
Both are incredibly blunt put you in your place dudes.
They have never been bought off or swayed by events that could profit them in any fashion.
For over a decade I have enjoyed reading them quite often...But
Mark Saiger has this vote, his willingness to go extra miles in real life and on forums to make the carpet cleaning less dysfunctional as a industry speaks volumes to me ...
Passion and a big heart is what this industry is truly about. An to me he is the Shining Star for 2017...
An fallen angel should know ...Ciao my brothers keep doing what I crave to do again even if just one more day ...

Bob Wittkamp received an award post posthumously. Not sure which year though. Probably 2008 or 2009. I think he received the Bloss Award, but it might have been the Kenway Mead Award. It was one or the other. I'm pretty sure it was the Ralph Bloss Award though. Anyone else remember?
