I like Paulst wanted to let you know this. I won your Freedom machine almost 2 months ago on the web and I haven't used my truck mount since.
31 years with steam and I'm changing all my customers to encap and everyone loves it. I've made new a few carpets I do that have been
beylllond making look very clean. I've done them a few times before. One customer is now having me do their company's carpet because of this.

I really don't get that sales strategy. I came away from mikeysfest determined to have a cimex. Why alienate yourself from the majority of your potential customers? Rick made a point to say that he rarely if ever does HWE on his CGD jobs. Most of us kinda agreed that that was OK. Not how I would do it but OK. Still he was very diplomatic with a crowd that was skeptical at times. But most HWE guys have done jobs where it dried looking bad

When we encap the same job. It looked better. So a good encap or op machine is a must have for a HWE that does CGD. IMO. The bottom line for me is that Rick G will sell more product his way than the alternative. The "sell my Vortex and bought an OP " sounds silly to anyone who hasn't been breathing in Argosheen for years.

I've yet to see any of this in the commercial properties that I have been servicing for the last decade or so with the Cimex &/or Sprayborg, (not that long though with the Sprayborg).

Actaully Mikey, we are having a couple to three months of interviews with cleaners that have all done the same thing.. Every week it is a cleaner who went from HWE to Trinity, but most of that is based on business model, on making more money, ease of use, customers reaction to VLM, benefits to customers. You will know most of these guys, they are businessmen who are going places and expanding their businesses.

We are doing 2-3 months of interviews every Monday of guys doing the exact same thing.
You think they are kooks, yet most are successful businessmen making wise choices to build their businesses, and they are going places, expanding, custys are happy, they are making more money, saving their bodies, giving them more time at home... let people hear what is happening before trashing it.

Is this the same Paul who is the new mod on vacawy board? I got banned shortly after That guy came to power. Apparently, he Felt I was some sort of bully for pointing out the limitations of VLM, and challenging him on some of his goofy posts.

This is an argument from like 1995....
Is anyone still just cleaning carpet?

Nothing wrong i guess with using lm tools on lightly soiled carpets in suburban homes but man you are missing out on some big profit opportunities.
We can go from tile,carpet, furniture in a couple minutes. Not to mention small water extractions and pet related issues.

$$$ its not even close what a route can do in a year. I'm sure an o/o doing $60k a year in revenue is better off with a floor buffer but that's about it.

Justin I am curious as to your statement on your "bottom line" about who would sell more machines. Why do you care who sells more machines or how they market them? Do you have an invested interest regarding this ? I buy equipment based on performance not the marketing.

I think the point that you missed Mardie, is this... One guy (Rick) markets in a reasonable, realistic way, = VlM being a compliment to a HWE system, especially for commercial work

the other guy (John) markets in an unreasonable , unrealistic way. = VLM is a total replacement for HWE, in all settings weather it be residential, or commercial.

Point being seasoned cleaners will be hard to win over with the later approach because they know that VLM has limitations.
