I think the point that you missed Mardie, is this... One guy (Rick) markets in a reasonable, realistic way, = VlM being a compliment to a HWE system, especially for commercial work
He doesn't sell trinities he sells an Oreck LowBoy with a coupe of bells and whistles.

the other guy (John) markets in an unreasonable , unrealistic way. = VLM is a total replacement for HWE, in all settings weather it be residential, or commercial.
Unreasonable, yet puts up the guys for interview that are doing it all over the country, and why? because the Trinity is not like any other OP not even close.
What a cleaner has to say about what they haven't used is worthless talk.

Point being seasoned cleaners will be hard to win over with the later approach because they know that VLM has limitations
Funny, listen to the users and they the ones who use it have a different story..

It's just goofy that I'm even responding to that. But I might as well wade into this mess. Boredom overrides good judgment sometimes.
The intent of my comment was to show how manufacturers can use BB presence in a counterproductive way.
Win or lose, an argument online hurts you. Use the Hot Rod handle guy as an example. No drama. Stays positive. Never baited into silliness. Just keep talking up the good points. Recognize that there's always guys that are gonna insult your stuff. The internet is silly like that.
Oh yeah. And other than a buffer and a vacuum what equipment do you guys buy? Spray bottles? The car already has a trunk.

Btw John g has always been nice to me. And his OP machine is a good tool.

I find myself pondering if someone that would make the decision to give up a Vortex in exchange for a OP machine should have purchased a Vortex in the first place.

We work with some contractors who regularly test for microbial levels in carpet at schools.

They have indicated to me that HWE with hi-power extractors and hi-pH presprays,

achieves lower levels of microbial contamination,

than rotary "Encap" cleaning.

That is why I think a good maintenance program should include HWE at reasonable intervals.

Lately, we are looking at systems for the rinse water, that achieve this.

How long do the carpets stay bacteria free in schools ??

When I was a kid going to school, we never worried about all this stuff, and we all tended to grow up a lot healthier and more immune to a lot of the crap that kids of today suffer from.

I sometimes think that too much emphasis is being placed on every thing being spotlessly clean and kids wrapped up in cotton wool to protect them.

however, if you were like me as a kid I never saw the inside of our house during daylight hours. Kids now days (including mine) spend entirely to much time indoors on electronics.

I think you have your 500 psi 12 flow confused with who is pushing dirt to the bottom of the fibers and accomplishing nothing more than smearing dirt with your drag and blend technique. Mikey do you think that the 10s of thousands of clients that choose VLM cleaners are all stupid ?
