What about the smaller companies? Judson will stay for sure.. TCS will stay because what I have heard their sales are way up because of there price point!!!! So I vote hydramaster and prochem out... Their machines are not all that good.. Saphire is lowering their prices to compete.. Plus they have a pretty blue color on their machines

Not a chance in hell. They're owned by a company who has a budget in the 10's of millions. Karcher owns more than Prochem. Sapphire and Prochem aren't going anywhere like I said, they're owned by deep pockets. Sapphire is pushing their chem harder, because the money is in the juice. I haven't seen many manufacturers that don't offer a chemical line as well that make it very far in this industry. There isn't enough profit in the machines to make up for all of the costs of building, and supporting the machines, unless you're a genius at financial management, something would have to lack.

I could see one buying another but would think they are the strongest of the group of TM builders

Everything is for sale....if the price is right.

For a clue or two dig out a five-year-old Cleanfax and see who's NOT advertising now.

any chance Tom has a few show room models on the floor he is concerned with unloading?

I trust my source BIG time.

No machines on the sales floor, we custom order each machine specific to the customer's needs. Customers can see the machines in the cleaning fleet, that's really where the rubber hits the road.

Your trusted source doesn't know how to operate a telephone, if he/she did, they would have discovered that White Magic didn't go out of business last Friday, they're answering phones, taking orders and shipping parts and machines. Matter of fact, a new machine arrived earlier today.

With that said, it's no secret that Paul Richardson, owner of White Magic has been looking to sell but from what I understand, he wants the the White Magic company to keep building those machines.

Steven the size of a company does not have a whole lot to do with it's ability to survive a downturn. Long term management decisions (good and bad), cash flow and a strong baance sheet are the critical factors. General Motors, Chrysler, KMart, and many other companies with sales in the 10's-100's of Billions have fallen where others in similar businesses have survived and/or prospered.

Well Boy Howdy I guess you were too busy working the night club scene to notice that Zero Rez did indeed buy those Vortexes, not the 140 Thom was telling everyone but 20 or so before they got smart went with a cargo van

I agree with Ken thathurts, the companies that will survive are the ones that remembers that their customers keep them in business, and treats them like they would want to be treated.

20 vs 140... hmmmm... 14% of of the rumor.

No that night I was in bed by 9pm as I recall.

But as I recall, no mention was made of who bought the Vs by the end of the trade show.

Sounds like Shawn added the spice and you stired the soup..

Over the years I have learned to take what you say with a grain of salt...

You have been a game player since ICS and CCS.. In other words.. I don't trust what you say.

So when it comes out the WM is done or sold, you can kiss my ass.

and it will come out.

Do you think they are going to tell their suppliers that its all over if there is a chance that they can find a buyer?

go read your clean fax and try and stay up on the trends.

Re: White Magic is out of business.

For your sake I hope you are right Mikey..

If I was the owner of WM, and I had a so called trade forum leader telling his flock my business was belly up based on facts from a trusted source, and info was false. I'd be pissed.

Even more so if it costed me a few sales.

So I hope your source is correct....

Not that I give a flying ACE.. I have no interest in buying a WM..

WM being sold is black and white from being out of business.

I don't disagree. I've been on both ends of the business, cleaner, and supplier for a short while. Prochem has some plans up their sleeve that will be announced next year. From what I have seen myself, and heard from people that I trust; it will put them on a whole other level than where they are currently at. That is why I am confident with their investment into these new projects that they will be here to stay.
