Its only taken me two or three years, but I’ve finally learned to love my Zipper wand. I had just a little over 5000 sf of cut pile commercial carpet, in a bank, to clean today. While Brady was cleaning the ceramic, slate and vinyl, I got to play around with the carpet.
If this had been a weeknight job, I would have used the Devastator wand, because I would have wanted to make certain it dried before the next day. To be certain of that with the Zipper, I would have felt it needed drying passes and that seems to slow me down to the point that it doesn’t save any time. Since it had until Monday to dry, I flew through with the trigger pulled blowing and going!
Now I can be in love with the Zipper.
Almost as much as Mr. Happy.
One slight downside though. I may be bedridden by tomorrow. Pushing and pulling that Zipper is totally different from wanding! This is only the second time I’ve used it on a big, hours long job. My arthritic back didn’t handle it as well as the wand movement.
I almost called Stephen to see if he wanted to come down and watch a real carpet cleaner work, but didn’t want to have to buy his lunch. I was already having to feed Jr.
