I have had a good experience with Pleasant Valley Corporation. I have an account in Huntsville every three months, two in Birmingham and one near Anniston. They are net 45, but often pay in less than 30 days. You could see if they have anything going on near you:

We just did a job 2 days ago for them. I'm really confused. We had absolutely no problem with them at all and in fact I was quite impressed. They sent tons of support material to us detailing the job and what the customer expected and told us we would be paid when we arrived. When our truck arrived to the job I called for payment. They asked if I could bill them through Square so they could pay by card securely and I did. We were paid 10 minutes later. The job had barely started. The next day they called and said we received a good review from the customer and as a result I would get a call from someone else paying us another $10 bonus. Now granted, they were paying us $200 for the job which was for 4 bedrooms of carpet. The only thing that threw it off a little was they also included a dryer vent clean. That was a service we previously didn't offer but I decided to take the job anyway.

If I added the dryer vent we maybe would have charged $25 more for that job normally and I did have to go buy a few things to add the service but I'm happy now that I did it. Just another profit center add-on.

I don't know whether they have changed or what but until I read all the bad reviews here I would have never guessed they were guilty of stiffing so many people. For me just the training material made it worthwhile. They put in a training format the same things I talk about to my technicians but I it's more impactful the way it's presented. I'll use that material when training my technicians going forward.

Nobody else has been so lucky. So with a couple of pieces from the hardware store, you're now a dryer vent cleaning expert?

I doubt they changed anything. There is always one idiot in BO/BU threads that talks about getting paid....until he doesn't...........

Congrats on being the one I guess....

I got paid but not what they said I would get paid. Luckily, I picked up an additional job from a guy who saw what I was doing. They use anybody who answers the phone. Quality doesn't matter.

We were told from the get go we would be paid when we arrived to the job before starting. Luckily our experience was different from everyone else here. I'm sure had I read this thread before the job I never would have accepted but since the job was for the next day I really didn't have the time. Actually this is the first time I've ever accepted one of those farmed out jobs. We get request all the time. Many of them are down right comical in what they offer and the terms are always net whenever if ever.

If Boss Optima continues to operate like they did with us it's actually a good model that impresses me. I don't know the pricing structure they are working with in their model and can't say whether it's sustainable or not but from our end this one case worked.

They claim to appeal and market to a premium customer so I'm not sure how we're supposed to transparently merge our operation into their model and they weren't specific about that. For example I sent my truck out with our invoice made out to Boss Optima for $200 and marked prepaid along with the customer's info on the job section. I didn't give my tech any special instructions. Normally he would have given that copy to the customer. The customers were happy and when Boss made a followup call the next day they gave us high ratings. However if he gave them a copy of that invoice which I believe he would have I can see that customer calling Boss raising hell because they were probably charged $300 or more. I'd say something has to be worked out there.

If you get another chance to do a job for them and the numbers work for you and they tell you they're going to pay when the truck arrives I'd take the job. At worst if they don't do as they said you can send the truck back home. I'm hoping they really have got there act together because there's a need for some niche players.

Personally I'm happy for anything that's not Google. The power Google has over us all is truly frightening. Here's how bad it is: I can have a customer who's been a customer for 15 years. He may have our card in his wallet, and our phone number in his phone. He may even have one of our coupon postcards sitting on the table at home from todays mail. That same customer will invariably go to Google before calling me. Chances are I'll even end up having to pay google for the click. In the mean time he'll have a hundred opportunities to go somewhere else. That's scary!

I’ve never done work with Boss Optima and these morons won’t stop calling several times a week. How do I get them to stop spamming my cell several times a week?

We registered for the do not call list but that’s been a joke

I just wanted to let everyone know we received another very small job from Boss Optima last Wednesday which was scheduled for the next day, Thursday July 30, 2929. It was just a minimum $99 job (our minimum). We finished the job later in the day and I had Square send them the invoice to the accounts payable email address we had on file around 6pm our time. It was paid early the next morning. In the mean time, conscious of these negative post I texted to Sean who is my contact person at Boss to let him know we had finished the job and all went well and I had sent the Square invoice and asking him to watch for it and make sure it was paid. It was paid early Friday morning. Again, no issues.

I hope this means they've turned the corner or have improved but I can only report on my own experiences which so far have been good. I told Sean to keep sending jobs! If I do get more I'll make sure to post the results here.

Incidentally, I have no idea where these jobs originate from or how they get them. I've never seen them mentioned anywhere on local media or in any search results for carpet cleaning in our area of Florida. I had never heard of them before taking that first job for them about a month ago.

So, Are you using Boss/Optima's unique 5 step cleaning process? Their propietary non residual cleaning solution? Their website makes many claims but then they send Joe Blow from down the road to complete the job without really knowing is he has the ability to do it. You may be a good carpet cleaner but the next guy won't be. They call up a lot of guys at random, looking for the one who isn't busy and can do the job the next day because their regular guy let them down.

Although I can find no connection I wouldn't suggest anyone listen to the guy with 5 post 4 of which are about Boss Optima. There is an overwhelming amount of negative feedback, both old and recent, indicating that you will have issues with payment.

but I guess if you need the money that bad...........like they are hoping............go ahead................ymmv

They did forward to us all their instructional materials on their procedures which I found helpful and I did send it all to the technician to follow. The 2 jobs we've received from them are both considered "overflow" and like you said, I assume they simply needed someone to complete the jobs. Both were pretty much last minute. I really don't know what's involved in being their regular carpet cleaner. I don't see them doing any marketing in our area so I have no idea how those customers came to contact Boss Optima in the first place. They have no online presence in our area whatsoever that I know of.

Apparantly, they are based in Arizona. They do internet marketing around the USA and Canada. I don't know if they do any other type of marketing but it seems disingenuous to claim to be one company then send someone else to do the job.

dont worry youll get scammed here pretty soon, they are just priming you for a bigger one. Just wait until they hit you with a big commercial job, you wont get paid like countless others and youll come back here crying about it
