Well, My new pump arrived in the mail. I installed it and of course it didn't fit. I had to mount it vertical because it's longer than the original pump. I then had to get new fittings and hose to make it work. I hate hate hate those crush fittings and Ace Hardware didn't have any of the slip fittings. I can NEVER get those stupid crush fittings right. They always move and turn out off center. Then when I post pictures of my handy work, you guys get boners claiming water leaks that aren't there. Well after several times and going through three crush fittings, I said screw it and just man hammered it down. No leaks. If it does leak I'll get on the interweb and get a 3/8 MIP 90° elbow swivel with a 3/8 hose QD.

The new motor hangs down a bit, I need to be careful I don’t knock it into anything.

The new pump runs like a Damon to a Baconator. Just need to replace a couple more bolts and nuts and she's done.

do you know what specs the pump/jets put out?

I've just not long got the redheaded stepchild of the OP world, running 60 psi 1gpm pump, 95:02 jets.. only used it twice on 2 small jobs
Here are the specs of the new pump and the jets.
The jets are two 6502 Unijet. The pump is a 115 volt 100 psi. The original was a 90 psi.

thanks, it looks like 02 jets is common

the 2 small jobs I did had cut pile and though it looked good I wasnt sure if was putting out enough juice
Well, not sure I like OP for cut pile, , maybe if short, and lightly soiled. did you use pads, or bonnets. If bonnets, could you tell how soiled they came up, and how wet when you changed,?
I got ahold of a Oreck a while back. Thinking I would use/try it on stairs , instead of my Stepson, when VLMing as many do. ended up just leaving/using at home, with 8 inch iron man pads under it. Heavy thick dense nylon. works well. easy and quick. Not sure I would claim to a custy that is deep clean.

yeah was glued down cut pile in 2 reception areas, came up looking good

but was also using a different encap than normally and it has no foam, which also made me question my coverage?

Is that the HOS replacement option? Can’t be?
