Recently a customer CO detecter went off while I was cleaning. It went through her closed garage door to trigger the alarm. I was working 3 stories up and was shoocked the CO went through the closed door.

It will....but it shouldn't be assumed

For the few times the alarm went off on the job, I always rush to open all the doors and windows on the opposite end of the house. But like PapaJohn...a few times seemed impossible for them to start screaming at me. That's why I thought it was steam

Buffing dust will set off fire alarm if it’s too close. That’s when excitement begins. That’s even with high speed electric. (I know that’s not what this is about)😏

That's why I park diagonally in drive way. So it mostly away from door. You will always smell exhaust.

Never really remember any issues with rear mounted truckmounts, but had a few problems and one close call with side door installs directing fumes away from the job sites.

Truckmount clumsiness aside:

Let's talk about the chimney effect with these box vans that have the rear rollup door. My A/C doesn't work currently, so I was driving with the windows down all day, smelling exhaust, thinking it's ok since the windows are down. WRONG. That damn rollup rear door isn't air tight, so the chimney effect sucked that exhaust right into my cab, causing me to be lightheaded for 12hrs so far, and still feeling it. CO poisoning isn't fun. I'll be driving with the windows up today, hoping I can get this A/C to work

Yeah I set off the smoke alarm in my hotel room one cold February night in Toronto years back when I was running my shower hot to take wrinkles out of my clothes.

Emptied the entire hotel into the parking lot........

Thereby hangs a tale, as the Bard would say.

IT's junk. I ordered a new a/c unit for the van. I'm about 2 weeks away from dropping it off to the mechanic. This spare van has a sliding door connecting the cab to the box. I never thought that it'd suck engine exhaust in the cab from the rear when the windows are rolled down. My nose doesn't lie.

Does anyone else on here have a box truck like mine? I'd like to get someone else's opinion on that

We are all under vacuum on this earth..

It’s the same when driving with a hatch open or a rear window.. Yes, it’ll come in..

Maybe add a vent to the box and that may relieve the suction of said fumes.. 🤷‍♂️
