Talked took a local guy yesterday who had that mach12 wand.

Uses a White Magic 45 slide in and loves it.

By no means a hack.

Really looking forward to Saturday..

What is your planned work load for Saturday where you think you'll have more of an idea about what the 370 can do?

The amount of airflow you can use to convey soil laden moisture from the carpet to the recovery tank is something that can be measured.

Your loyal followers from the days when you were the "bad boy who said horrible things, but was often right" on ICS are likely recoiling at your decision to get a mid range powered machine. That horror is compounded, likely, by their knowledge that you will also use a 1.5" whip hose and a 1.5" wand.

What can't be measured, and should be considered, is this:

Will the lack of "heavy hose and wand fatigue" allow you to make extra dry strokes? Conversely, are there hard working "big blower/big hose" devotees who, in their more seasoned ages, are becoming a bit more careless about those extra dry strokes?

I guess this is a convulted way of saying something I should say more simply:

"Let us know if using means of cleaning that are easier on you physically will allow you to do as good a job as you did in your days of using what was then called a "VAT" truck mount"

Loren, I use to work for a company in Denver that had that same Steamway Powermatic 2100 back in 1994. It had a kerosene burner. Even though they perform well, I don't like fuel fired burners. To much liability IMO

I have been using that same kerosene burner since 1978. Much less explosive than propane. Of course machines operating on highly flammable gasoline would seem to be more concerning.

Am I talking myself into an all electric truck mount? Naw, don't want to get electrocuted!

I first tried this Mach 12 in Vegas in September.

I need to use it more before coming to a conclusion but so far I'm loving it.
While it is a custom length for me, its very light, easy to toss around fully adjustable manifolds, secure two piece glide and believe it or not....

appeared to dry as well as the 2" wand I tested side by side.

with a 25 foot inch and a 1/2 whip..:eekk:

I have been thinking about getting a Mach 15 to use with my 370. I already have a 12inch wand with the Prochem Quad. I think the 370 has enough vacuum to run it effectively

I will launch it when its done , just working with my prototype right now. I have a list of things I want to try and accomplish with this wand. Will keep you all posted.
We were gonna head up to PMF to pick up Ti Tubes Monday, not sure now, my Dad is going in for Heart surgury on Monday.

I am taking my time on this one, I want it to be as good as we can get it. I wanted to have it ready to show at ICE but I may hold off on it showing there.

I came up with a design and Tim is pushing me to apply for Patent before I bring it out to play.

Can you show us some drawings and or some sketches of the general idea so someone can knock it off as quickly as possible?
Funny,
The prototype is working very well, I can just say I am very focused on the wand, Tim is trying to take all my input and make it come to reality. The prototype is bad azz.
I tried to clean without a glide the other day..the suck is so hard I can only pull....I put @ a 4" ripple into the center of the carpet as I was only able to pull and not push.
When I get it done it will be one of the best flowing, flushing, drying wands on the market.
I can say that even though it has that much suck, with my design I came up with...my WIFE can use it ONE HANDED....it is gonna blow your minds

I have been keeping Mikey in the loop of development as we move forward, he doen't know all the details but he has seen it in action.

First you get a 2.5" tube that is ~4 ft. long (was that optional ?).

But then . . . you restrict it with a 1.5" x 5 ft. tube on the wand.

It is great to have several new 2" wand designs with higher flow, as a design concept.

Tom's wand, and the brand new Mytee Bentley, which we will have by the first of December.

Let the testing begin.

whats all the hub bub about vacuum hoses, 2.5", 1.5"? It is what it is as long as you try and achieve a balance. Just like water pipes over a long distance.

This little hummer 370 starts off 2.5" at the machine. You can start off 2.0" if you want, I've done it several jobs now with 75' of 2". Blower is spinning somewhere around 3200-3300. Your shop/install is supposed to set the relief at 13". I've used 50' of 2.5" so far on most of my work, 2" from there to my 4 jet WestPak. Went 175' couple days ago and then tried another 25' for kicks. Suck like a bandit. I don't miss my 47 blower spinning at 3400.

Hooked up my PMF 1.5 2-jet with 50'-2.5, 100'2.0 and then 20' of 1.5. Worked great. Just gotta keep things tappered down as you go.

Really need a new wand and almost pulled the trigger on one of the many versions of TI Pros out there, but am going to wait for your new one. Keep us posted.

And are you still going to clean stairs with your wand??

My new employee started winding cords that way last week and I was ....WTF!
Winding a cord like that is called a Daisy chain and is the best way to wind 100' or more cord. Does not damage, twist or tangle. It does take a minute to make but well worth it when you unwind and your cord is not tangled.
