umm, Willy, we're s'posed to be a professionals
That means we're s'posed to be knowledgeable and responsible with the chems used and take precautions with such

if you poured it on the rust, and worked it in with your fingers..
or spilled some on your fingers without immediately washing it off..
I'm sorry part'ner , the directions for use and cautions are clearly printed on the label.
it's not the chem's fault for not being IDIOT proof .

Mix any bleach and ammonia much??

Well Larry I did wash my fingers right away and it still got me. I have no idea why anybody would use that shit when there's equally effective and much safer alternatives available. I remember talking with Gary Heacock about this and his comment was you can use lemon juice to take out rust.

Let me tell you, If you are using any thing, that when you pour it into a bottle, makes you cough...You need to be looking for something else...Chem Spec brown out is one of those...That S*it works, but damm...Cough up a storm....I still have wink on the van ( old habits die hard )...but mark is doing the " new world " right way.

I used to work for a company who had a supervisor who thought it was funny to tell new employees to work it in with their fingers. Took a while before they finally fired him.

Um you forgot the neutralizing part

alkaline rinse

did you use a neutral cleaner to wash it off your hands?
or start washing AFTER you felt the burn ?
Tell the truth

Heacock was a great guy...but a "green" freak
He advocated that pee water biowhatever juice ...it's crap

Gloves will just cause a mess.

Take cap off while holding upright and do not squeeze bottle hard. Tip and point st stain and squeeze firmly until you hit the spot. Release pressure and tip upright.

If by chance you feel moisture rinse thoroughly. I never get any on me and usually hit the spot on the first squeeze.

Keep cap on firmly.

I have 2 bottles on the truck at all times. Wal-Mart or Ace Hardware have it on the shelf.
Usually do like Steve but leave my leather work gloves on. If winks can't get it out its not rust.
On my truck for at least 12 yrs. I never rub anything with finger. That's what shoes are for.
Use your brain when using the product and you will be fine Mike.

Are you saying you deliberately touched it??

But "washed your hands right away"?

No it was purely accidental. I managed to have a clumsy moment during an application. Unfortunately that's all it takes and I guess a little got under my fingernails.

I use the corner of my wand for aggitation just before flushing it out. The rust is usually gone at first contact though.

Keep in mind, I used Erusticator for years at Coit.

I wish this bottle had that type of tip
That's what made erusticator so good. Our most hazardous chemicals but in the safest bottle. Only dispensed drops at a time and couldn't spill I'd knocked over.
