Anyone Try the Mytee ETM?

I did check it out while it was operating.

The vacuum was impressive from the machine alone . . .

and it comes with a free booster.

Inlet to machine vac is 2.5 inches. Very good vacuum power. Put the back of my hand about two inches from the opening and in sucked it in very easily.

The Mytee rep we were talking to was very knowledgable and easy to talk to.

They had it setup so you can see the vac. The vac was not bad it had more than I thought it would, but my TM have more. The biggest neg it no heat. The rep said you can run an inline one but you already need 2 separate lines for the machine, so good luck getting a 3rd or 4th one if you use the booster. Also the machine is 2.5" which is nice but the booster they sell is 2" so that should be addresses as well.

I must say Mytee is one of the better companies out there with thinking outside the box and coming up with new ideas. If I ran a portable I would be using them.

For the heat, you gonna have to get a LG heater.

Is the suction similar to the 36 blower? If the suction can be at least similar to a 45 that im running... i'd consider buying one.

I was referring to several thing that I see them doing that I do not see other companies do.

Such as:
The mufflers for the ETM and other portables that they are offer.
On the ETM they convert the 2 circuit into one to create a machine with some impressive vac for an electric unit.
The cuffs that they came out with (I do know they are very similar to cool cuffs but they are better in ways too)
I also am talking about the accessory tray that they just came out with.
I am not certain but I also thought they had the first large mouth jugs for inline sprays.


These are just some from the top of my head that came out in the last year or two. I can not think of any other company that has came up with some neat ideas like these.

That's a good name, much better than "Meat". You are right as usual, but as usual not completely. Allow me, if you will, to provide some additional information. On the 115 volt to 230 volt conversion, It was Les Jones , of Judson fame, who invented that device. At Mytee we made a cicuit board that does it automatically. That controller existed prior to us we just made our own.

CUFF LYNX, I would have perferred to buy from Mr. Bristor, that did not work out so I made my own. I think I am the only one with the 2 1/2" to 2" swivel. Maybe yes maybe no, I don't care. I have what I have.

As regards, who had it first, you sound like CD. Solomon who was smarter than both of us, said, "There is nothing new under the sun". The reality were all copying others, whether we are honest enough to admit it or not.

What I do have is a powerful little electric truckmount that has 1000 psi pump to clean carpets or grout, 70 gpm pump out for restoration work, that weighs 180 lbs, doesn't polute , break belts or burn gas. And cost $3999.00

I've tried to put as much as a could in that little package for the price. I personally think it is right for the times. It is a good unit and I will continually build on it and try to make it better.

I'm sure you have built things in your life, maybe you can share them with us sometime.

The 'new' ideas that they came with is that they:
1) Listen to what the cleaners (aka- US) want and need. And then, pretty quickly and consistently come up with what we need.
2) Always try to improve and add new and better things.
3) Very (exceptionally) good prices.
4) Very responsive and easy to deal with company.
5) Absolutely stand behind their products.
6) Admit and fix when something goes wrong. (not give excuses like some here who have a long pattern of complaints for which there always seem to be an explanation.)

And John and all his team are top notch.

In this industry, Larry, that is a whole damn new concept.

John it's got to make you feel good when your customers or potential customers not only recognize how hard you're working, but appreciate it too!

Nice work on the ETM, it's a good looking unit. Much better than the Mickey Mouse contraptions that one of your portable competitors has out there.

And while I hate to see you take sales from Terry because he is building a very good product too and has put a lot of effort into developing a market for a real ETM, not just a cobbled bunch of components pieced together.

However your marketing budget for the New ETM may also increase his sales along with yours by legitimizing the "Electric Truck Mount" to the industry once again.

The ETM should be "comparable" to a #3 blower with the booster.

The 2.5" hose is fine to the booster,

from there to the wand the 2' hose is all you need.

My thoughts on that is that if the hose run is long you have less resistance with a larger diameter hose and than reduce it close to the carpet whether it's through a wand or a rotary tool. I think the performance is better.
