Why not groom with a rake?
It takes longer but I believe using a CRB with soft brushes makes the carpet fibers stand up better and makes the carpet look better than with a rake. Especially cheap polyester

Some people HATE the TRUTH but the TRUTH is VLM WORKS !!!

I love VLM !!!

What procedures did you learn over those 6 months that really made a difference?
Something that I left out was water

I take all my own water to every job in 2 1/2 and 5 gallon jugs

My area doesn't have hard water but I still run all my water thru a soft water tank

I can see a slight difference

I believe it makes a 5-10% positive difference on every job

For all the cleaners that still don't believe in VLM, or don't want to believe THANK YOU !!!

I would groom a carpet like that especially if I was going to post photos of it...

Not sure what that means

I guess eat post photos means take post photos

Doesn't matter if I'm taking post photos or not that's how I do it

Looks like a low budget location so they probably didn't notice or care
Your exactly right about that. 30 year old nylon carpet. It was a trashed rental and I had to use a shop vac to vacuum up all the crap before I started to clean. The owner of the townhouse paid me and he appreciated the work I did but the tenants probably trashed it again within a week

Here’s a tip for you even though you have a trump profile pic, just use a big red or yellow
dust pan from Home Depot for those trashed locations instead of the wet vac. A lot faster!

I keep a small 8 gallon shop vac in my van at all times just in case I run into a trashed house that my vacuum can't handle. I only use that shop vac 1-2 times a year. I use the shop vac to pick up the big crap and then have to use a regular vacuum after that. The big dust pan and a trash bag is a good idea and would be easier and faster than bringing in a shop vac.

I rarely use Carpet Details anymore. The main reason I used it last year was because of no odor. Low odor or no odor is needed in a lot of residential homes. There are a lot of over weight, unhealthy, sick people out there and everything bothers them. I got away from it about 8-9 months ago. Carpet Details is good but like a lot of presprays struggles to clean difficult polyester.

I finally tried Green Dragon this year and just like Carpet Details doesn't clean oil loving polyesters as good as I want. It's ok but no WOW
