I have been using the cheap bagged bissell for years now; I replace them also every 3 months or when they start leaking dusty; I have found it to be a good practice to install a fresh bag on the site in front of custy; also put an dry air freshner(like the ones for cars) in it to make a good smell. :) ; either way seems everyone is doing the good thing for custy.

I'm a Cleanview II man myself. I bought it for the Wife but she won't clean the filters and then complains that it has no suck. I love it.

I used to use the Turbocat but the bearing went out. Spotted the new model Turbocat this week. Appears to be better built than the old one.

the sani 887 is still a much better vac, the problem with the bissell is the dang canister gets full too often, I have had to dump it 3 or 4 times before on one job. with the sanitare it would hold all that a nasty no vaced house can possibly hold. the filters in the bissell clog alot, I know you can just tap them out, but that requires getting dirt on your hands etc. a sanitare with a fresh belt will out vac anything I have seen

I own (or have owned ) all those.
The PowerTrack Cyclone is by far my favorite.
The Revolution is my least fav.

If you're on a tight budget, the Powerforce is "the" one to have
The Powerforce Turbo is essentially the same but comes with a little turbo hand tool.
They suck GREAT, but you'll need to clean the filters often to keep that GREAT suck going.

The Powertrac Cyclone has MUCH less filter cleaning
(little to none, as a matter of fact)

I use the cleanview 2 and it always picks up lots of soil and hair. I wish the dirt cup was twice the size.

I take the hepa filter and clean it and then spray it with with a little downey & water and let it dry. Makes the house smell good before you start cleaning.

I picked up the powerforce turbo w/ the cup. Used it today on 3 jobs w/ diff carpets from not so soiled to heavy soiled, very impressed, the vac sucks everything in it's path. Also used the turbo tool on stairs, it was pretty decent as well.

Would be nice the cup was larger, but i'm pretty happy.

Thx for the tip on the hepa filter, i will look into that.

Anyone found a way of de-stinking a Bissel Cleanview?

we completely strip them down and soak everything in a buck of deo/sanitizer.
The CV is easier than the others cause the top filter canister comes off

We pull the bag out and put in a new one. Gosh, I think it takes about 20 seconds!

BISSEL "Momentum" 82G71 is recomended by Consumer's Reports.

Rated #19

Dysons are rated,
#9 DC17 Absolute Animal $550
#17 DC14 Complete $440
#20 DC07 All Floors $400
#21 DC18 Slim $470
#22 DC24 Ball All Floors $400

To get stink out of my Hoover Conquest I spritz some of Judesons Quat alot into the vac opening, kills anything growing.

Look at the HOOVER EmPower Bagless $100
Its higher rated than the Bissel at #16
