I’m taking it to the forklift later this week to move it. Rubber mats underneath are getting pulled up.

The waste tank was behind it but I think I’m gonna move it to the left side of the machine for better mounting space and ease of access to the rear and right side of the machine.

The van needs a power steering fluid reservoir, a tuneup, and a new rear door

As for the tm, the water pump needs tlc, and the 185f thermal relief valve needs replaced. 🤞. Once I get it completed, we’ll see what other issues it might have

on the left side of the tensioner there is a "tab" with a hole in it. Push "up" on the tensioner to line this hole with the one behind the tab. Insert punch through lined up holes to hold it in place. Remove belt. Unbolt.

I think I need to rename this truckmount to
ThermalEverest 5.6

I finally removed the exhaust pipe/muffler that sat on top of the heat exchanger and routed the exhaust in the back of the heat exchanger box just like my Everest. So no more 700f muffler sitting inside my machine. It is now 250f external heat and using that to heat the water better

Yeah, it's been a long time since I started this project.

Yes, it has been cleaning allot of carpet with no problems. It's a very reliable setup and has been a great backup. It just never gave me the hot water that a machine this size should give. So I just kept wondering and asking others who have a really good understanding of this model how I could make it do that, and as I kept comparing the heat exchange system on all the other truckmounts this size (Everest 650, Hydramaster titan 875, etc) I got in touch with my shop guy and came to the conclusion that this is the best way to get that reliable heat without putting back pressure on the engine's exhaust.

But back to your question, I've been using this machine to give my main rig a break and I use it for about a week every month, and on all the really big jobs I do, I get my nephew to follow behind me and we use both truckmounts.

I really love the simplicity of this truckmount and I wish the manufacturers would go back to this model and perfect it with the updated exhaust diverters and recovery tanks.

I thought those were considerably more complicated than the 650, no?

Not in my view

If you are lucky enough to have one with the carbureted Nissan and not a computer, they are nice units, but for the above mentioned lower heat.

Parts availability will be a problem, but most of those issues have a work around if someone is handy and imaginative.

My model with the GM engine is much simpler than my Everest 650 with the hyundai

If it had the same kubota and general pump as the newer Everest and still used the 56blower , people would love this model.

The 56 blower is so easy to maintain and change belts with the way it’s set up.

Parts for the gm motor are still accessible. I ordered the ECU, timing belt and water pump directly from psi and the ignition coil is easy to get at auto parts. Any other parts are rarely ordered.

As for heat exchangers… I have the updated plate heat exchanger that you’ll see earlier in this thread. As for the exhaust… I would love to see a newer one installed to see how much better it would maintain the heat.

Brand new?

I’d love to have my thermalwave 2 brand new with the updated heat exchangers and waste tank brand new over my Everest 650

The layout of the engine positioning sideways beats all slide-ins and gives wonderful results.
